Adam's Plea

I plead not guilty your worship, I was tricked by feminine wiles,
And ever since God found out, I’m sleeping on the tiles.

The Young Turkey

The young turkey started to crest
Then got tricked into a large nest
His feathers were pluck
He was naked as a duck
His get away was done with finesse

Tricked Her Into Love

The Japanese servant man
                  Indentured to the princess,
                  Tricked her into loving him
                  through extreme kindness

A Canary and Cat Tale

A clever, caged yellow canary
tricked his foe, a cat big and scary.
He flew out with some luck.
Cat walked in and got stuck.
Silly cat should have been more wary.

Tricked In Treating

Like a zombie at a town picnic
Scarfing brains in my room, like a shtick
My costume I offed
For I retched and coughed
Mom said, "That was the ultimate trick!"

Double Entente

The ape was a mimic
So badger pestered him

A dog tricked the fox
And followed him to crow

This boast to a rat
Was betrayed ...by and by

Tampering with its meaning..
was a monkey...on the sly.

Puppet Master

Once tricked, always the puppet
The strings are invisible to many
Somehow, you feel the tension of each rope
Constant tugging and pulling
Marks left from overuse and abuse
Doing what you must, not what you want

Distrust

When I am alone with you-

I am trapped in the cycle of being tricked and betrayed.

When I am surrounded by others-

I am trapped in the cycle of fighting back, numbly.

My only strength right now-

Is distrust.

Bible Dodoitsu

Seven years Jacob worked hard
for the love of sweet Rachel.
Tricked by his Uncle Laban
He married Leah.

Leah truly loved Jacob
but she must now step away.
It was but a rehearsal.
Rachel is his bride.

Bob Cratchit's Trick

Bob Cratchit, while slaving late alone
Tricked his boss by posting a framed clone
Of Ebenezer loaded with Yuletide cash,
Which was really the miser’s hidden stash!

Tricked

Silently he moves,
secretive by nature,
cautious by design,
startled by sudden movement,
dashes to safety,
watchful in his burrow,
tricked by skeletal shadows
of overgrown grass,
hunger pangs his insides,
ignored,
greater his will to survive.

Tricked By His Tomfoolery

His sophistry made sense to the hillbillies who were listening
They ran out and told it as if it was gospel
Because to them, it was
They had no idea he was a conman.
They thought he was an honest man,
but alas, they were tricked by his tomfoolery.

The Temptress

You haven’t changed much since the Garden
Except that you have added deception to your ignorance
Forbidden fruit once tricked you
Now you sin with enchanting eyes
You’re euphoric when I fall
You grimace when I crawl
My sorrow brings a laugh
My blood in your bath

Magic

It’s just an illusion
that softly stirs sadness within my broken heart’s
confusion.

I have been tricked.
I'm seduced by the Queen of Tarts -
and pricked.

Voodoo
casts magic darts -
you.

 It’s just an illusion,
I'm seduced by the Queen of Tarts -
 you.

Cloudburst

Rain clatters the window,
a cloudburst in his climax.
He listens to his body buck away
from a vertex.
He feels bruised by his ******
as if she had tricked him;
there had been a rock in her river.
Her cigarette smoke,
now swirls like a ghost in a raindrop.

Fragile Ego

self, be not overly full of yourself,
as fragile as crystal in a glass shelf,

which, at the slightest imagined offense,
recoils, sulks in resentful, vain defense

of your self-image that easily shatters,
so effortlessly tricked by flatterers.

cuckoo tricks bush warbler

the cuckoo is a lazy trickster
she lays her eggs in bush warbler’s nest
remember Mayzie LaBird in Dr. Seuss’s book Horton Hears the Who?
Bush warbler is tricked by cuckoo bird.
She thinks the eggs are hers.
Takes care of them until they hatch
And then raises cuckoo’s baby as her own.

Self Hypnosis

Within the realm of illusions
Wherein our attention is transfixed
Narrowness of our conclusions
Signals hypnotic maya has us tricked

If we be sleep walking in a trance
All seeming reality but a dream
Freedom simply an unclinging stance
Wherefrom radiant bliss streams

Eve and the Snake

Hate breaks the great
Like Eve tricked by the snake
The act made God shake
And sent Gabriel for a life to take
She screamed I made a mistake
But I guess it was too late
Adam wished he was Jake
And searched the garden for a lake
To jump in and be awake
For heaven's sake
My life is at stake

Because I'M Not You

All because you hurt me
I have no love for you
And because you lied I have no trust in you
because you tricked me
I have no respect for you
when you call me I have no answer for you
When you hold me
I have no feelings for you
And only because I'm not you
when you cry I just might pity you
