Not All Words Bring Meaning
Not all words bring meaning
Some swill like seaweed and debris
Tangling and getting caught
Then drifting like a fisherman's rusty line...

Premium Member A Sleepless Night
Darkness of the night extending
Countless stars far away
Bundles of worry overlapping
Waves of anxiety tangling
A wall clock dinging
The worms bustle and rustle
To join me
In a lonely and sleepless night...

Speak Louder
All I have are words
that dance around the edges
and
    whisper
impatiently insistent
laughing
   crying
      loving
         dying
words that tear
    shred my heart
    to strings
left dangling
and
tangling
with
    yours....

Smokey Kisses...
the pipe smoke slowly rises
from my muttering lips
we can't look through
the tangling ribbon's white eclipse
on a journey including
only the mind, now you are all alone
the smoke's still strolling in the air
like a kiss that's just been blown...

Fools Gold
Slipping through your fingers
Soaking wet
Like diamonds could have been sold
Unfortunately he pulled the thricker
Tangling despite the untold version which is getting old
That's your lost, that's your bet
Your history will never be wearing fools gold...

'Twas claimed Titanic was unsinkable.

   To think otherwise was unthinkable!

      Alas, she met her fate,

         Because she swerved too late!

Tangling with ice cubes proved it sinkable!

Angel of My Heart
Tongues tied together
Knots in the stomach
Eyes closed nose to nose
Lips tangling and twirling
Thought’s racing in wonder
A halo glow above her head
Her wings wrapped around me
The sounds of her harp teasing me
Soul to soul we have reached heaven

Together...

Leech
Your fingers writhe beneath my skin
Tangling themselves in my veins.
You are a parasite, connected
and feeding off of my pain
Like the fiend you are.

I want to cut you off
And discard you, watch you withdraw,
But I know that pulling free
Would leave you with pieces of me....

Insomnia
Close my eyes
And so it begins
All the swirling thoughts
Beginnings; no ends

Threads unraveling
Solutions tangling
Unfinished questions
Answers Dangling

An itch in my brain
That longs to be scratched
A plan or a scheme
That needs to be hatched

(Alarm chimes)

Sigh......

Premium Member As I Run
Twilight comes too fast,
moral shadows closing in.
As I run from my past,
they all know my sin.

Twining 'bout my ankles,
tangling in my hair.
Trying to trip and mangle,
no on promised life is fair.

Emotions now run cold,
so easy not to care.
Though grappling for my soul,
they know that I'm not there....

To Think
TO THINK

the frequent mangling
thoughtful tangling
factuation intensified by the love of the wise, is no wiseman at all, but
a commoner sequence going on and on. resplendent is the word,
complex is the verb. and the orderly brain functions that allow your
nerves to feel all is the fall.

I Am 00man
Fingers tangling dry strands
Jostle soft fleshes with pained puffs
Dipping tar suffocating airways
Wrenching fabrics carving curses onto corpuscle
Taking
Pulling
Grabbing
Pushing
Stabbing
Shoving
Reducing into a pile of nothing
Ridiculed into a lump of worthless
Rejected into a mass of hollow
Remorse into a jumble of Woman....

Current's Pull
Against the current; frantically
fighting its pull
pushing arms - losing strength
relaxed as thoughts drift
to her

yellow ribbons curling,
tangling

bare limbs; flowing red
locks, intertwined around
his little finger;
cold; numb of feel
lungs gasping for lips
full and pink upon his
lifeless green eyes - begging
him to come
home...

PASSION

          Passion overflowing.
          Pearly nectar of heart
          Piercing obsessed feeling
          Pointing possessiveness.
          Pricking tangling craving.
          Persisting hankering
          Parching emotive urge.

Is This Love
Have you ever
Met someone, and
When you look
Into their eyes
You get a warm
Feeling inside and
It feels like love
But it can't be
Because the two
Of you just met
Even their presents gives
You a tangling feeling inside
You feel safe and protected
Just being around them
It also makes
your eyes twinkle
And you giggle
Just like a school girl
Is this love?

Premium Member Ice Fall
Torrents fixed by natures’ breath
glisten in the Winter suns mirage.
Aquamarine copper infusions, opaque as opal,
descend with abandon granite cliffs.
scared by man’s iron tools.

Stop action terrors frighten
passing denizens of day.
Tangling brush and briar.
Frost glazing quartz outcroppings.

The ground below
shows silver shards
snapped ice tentacles.

Unfed forms
heart breaking

The Telltale Tongue
Tyrannical,
tourette-ical,
tic-tic-tic-tic-tocking,
twisting, tangling, tumbling,
the words tie in tight Gordian knots
trying to flee the faltering tongue
in a staggering, staccato rhythm,
sounds now chat, chat, chat, chattering
out of his mouth as unpredictable
and uncoordinated utterances;
as if, as if, as if, AS....IF
they were bubbles, popping
as they rise, rise
from the depths
of the sea....

Listen to poem:
In the nighttime hours
As the world deftly creeps by
I summon my powers
Spread my wings and fly
Past cotton clouds,
Snow-capped mountains, white
I am lost and I am found
I am beauty and blight

Past the midnight chimes
A soul searching for home
Tangling myself in rhymes
So as to not feel alone
Catch the updraft of hope
Friendship sun on my face
My place in this world in scope
Loathing, with love replace...

Premium Member Tit For Tat
The cat and the dog are wrangling
I see a paw hit the canine.
A row and now a tangling.
I put my bet on the feline.
My job is to see no mangling
and not one hit at all is fine.
The cat is now fandangoing
to put the big dog in line.

How did I get in the jumble?
I try to get out and I fumble.
Hit by the cat, I tumble.
Tit and tat is elemental.
I say to the cat, "be gentle"
It may be the dog is mental.

Life
Life is like a cluster of weeds
It keeps tangling on and on
Some-times it unwinds
Because of a twist in fate
At-times is washed away
Due to un-fateful days!

We must try to make life
A blend of love and harmony
Happiness and sorrow
Peace which keeps
Mixing into tomorrow

Only then will we be able to
Face every tomorrow with
A light heart and can then
Be able to face each
Disappointment with a
Sweet disregard!...

Pleasure Can Kill
Tangling around the everlasting

feeling of addiction,

My mind can not think because

it wants you.

The moment I let you

in me,

Is the moment that I lose

that light in my eyes,

that goofy laugh I can’t control,

that love in my heart,

that feeling of self-respect.

And in comes the guilt,

the insecurities,

the hate,

the anguish,

and the undeniable feeling of that pleasure

… that kills....

No More
No more kissing you insanely
Feeling passion blush across my body
The warmth of your hands to guide me
No more feeling your heart beat next to mine
The sweat of our bodies meeting, cling
Cling onto one another lost becoming one
No more, rhythmic lovemaking in our own time.
Lost in our own obtuse formation of tangling
limbs
Struggling to please each others' fixation
Delighted and thrilled
No more to you the man I love
No more love...

Rewind the Tape
Nothing—you don't know nothing about me.

So you know just about everything huh.

I really can't hide from you can I?

No matter how hard I try

Under sheets…tangling masses of white

Enveloped by loss of feeling

Numb blankets

…masks, pretty perfectly painted masks that cover everything

Lies I'm not lying.

 Not with you anyway.

And this is something I've been working on..

Me in progress—paused...
