Syncopated In Misunderstanding
Every color that I had in me
Has fallen to my feet

My ununited hands
Intervowen with your doubts

Your words were moving through me
as if they were mute hands of the clock...

Love's Frenetic Energy
Love's frenetic energy

Ensnared by love's frenetic energy
Heart strings strumming to a Calypso beat
We move with syncopated synergy
passions swells rising from two lips in heat

If You Could Read My Rhyme
If You Could Read My Rhyme

OH, if you could read my rhyme
In two four syncopated time
I’m not saying that I’d win
All I’m saying is you’d grin

A Ware Wolf
Dedicated to 12 innocents killed by a gunshooter in West Cumbria.

A killer vindictive staunch, trivial systallic gush.
Violate grumble wish washy starling a virent push.
A Wheeler dealer syncopated steadfast ware wolf,
Gurgitation gusty thorough fare tripudiate brush.
Tirailleur timorous tintinnabulation whiffle tingle....

Mood In the Blues
Discouragement besieges my certainty like
clear blue skies swallowing up the noonday sun.

Anxiety trespasses with spears aimed to unguarded
thoughts like water rising on deck from an unruly blue sea.

My syncopated language scat of failure
like a night of blustering blues.

Pillaging my ears and ravaging my mindset's goals and dreams....

Nature Sings
Please be quite! Pond music starts at night If you’re loud, the music will be gone The many singers are each repeating their song Yet the syncopated notes are where they belong Frogs have a musical brew that swings Listen, hear how it rings Nature Sings!

The Syncopated Imp
from a challenge to use a random set
of unconnected words in a poem)

The syncopated rhythms of my
     infatuation with you have left
     an indelible mark
         on my metrical heart.

I am M'Adam to your "Y'ves,"
biting into the luscious apple of temptation,
     while Lust, with his pitchfork,
          prods us from behind....

So Fine
They call it three-quarter time
so put your hand in mine
and we can boogie woogie
all night long.

This syncopated rhythm
is very unforgiving
we'll be working up a sweat
all night long.

As the harmony begins
our feet mirror like twins
doing the boogie woogie
all night long.

Feel the muscles scream
as I swing and you lean
oh, we are so fine
all night long....

The Big Easy called to me Packed my bag and went to see New Orleans a place to eat Took a stroll down Bourbon Street. Summer night a sound of jazz I'm bopping along full of sass Hearing syncopated blues Music followed to rendezvous. Enchanted Rythyms
ENCHANTED RYTHYMS

IN THE BEAT OF A SINGLE MOMENT
ETERNALLY AWAITED.......
SOMETHING OPENED
AND INTO ME YOU FLOWED.
SOFT CHRYSTAL MUSIC, A SYMPHONY OF EMOTION
MARKING TIME IN MELODIES
THAT I HAVE ONLY DREAMED

WITHIN ME NOW YOU THROB
SYNCOPATED RYTHMS
COURSE THROUGH MY BLOOD
IN HARMONY WITH MY SPIRIT
KEEPING TIME WITH THE BEAT OF MY HEART
I AM HUMBLED BY THE BEAUTY
YOU HAVE CREATED IN ME...

Premium Member The Write of You
Inspired by the write of you
creamed through a paper sieve to cup
with both hands the leavings that you trail
 the write of you

like the chewed edge of hand pressed paper
like the apostrophe of lash on the cheeky page
I ogle the syncopated semen-antic drop of
 the write of you

how often does the wonder of you flash
across the film of my eyes unable reach
for I am so enchanted with the coffee-au-lait
 write of you...

Life of a Day
This day
of lurking June,
Only ink flows,
In the life of cool jazz, so soon,
Lost in syncopated truths
Of a simple birdsong
Released unto rhythm and language,
Rendered unto conspicuous climaxes,
In an ocean of words,
In elemental stasis to inspiration from the commission,
Of several surprises risked by bubbles’ breathes,
On surfaces where staying Silent is the largest tool....

And That's All I Ams
My ball sack has grown
While my p-n-s, much shorter,
Is now only known
For its passing of water
Which it does like clockwork
Twice every hour
So to save my poor cock work
I piss in the shower
Once at the start
And again, at the end
With a syncopated fart
That I add to the blend.
I’m just an old, faded failure
Who has run out of damns
But like Popeye the Sailor
I ams what I ams,

The Dance
Around the feeder
the hummingbirds are dancing.

Naturally, they are just flying and feeding,
just surviving, they dart and hover,
none need to dance
even though this non-choreographed
syncopated air-skimming
looks like a dance to slower eyes.

They drive each other away from the nectar,
even bumblebees, they must feed,
for tomorrow they go to Mexico
and only the strong will make it.

The most nimble eventually
dancing with death all the way....

Premium Member Extra Pizzazz Jazz
Listen to poem:
The oomph and zing of extra spin
adds razzmatazz to shot akin
to the standing ovation din
a hole in one gets for a win.

The cream screams to the top.

The razzle and dazzle of dance
shake, rattle and roll of romance
is enhanced by the oddball prance
of a jitterbug jive freelance.

Bebop is king of pop.

Jazz embodies the extra dash
of syncopated mish and mash
adding gems of splish, splosh and splash
improvisation in a flash.

Flip-flop until you stop....

Related and Syncopated
Related and Syncopated

There are things which are related
While also some which are syncopated
And right on time being in the grove
Creating an experience which will move.

Music and poetry are highly related
And can be considered as consolidated
Which will end up in complete unison
And then end up starting over again.

Eventually your mind always does grow
And you will end up being in the know;
So you should read my poems and digest
To determine which one is the best.
