A robot who plays a wild ukulele
With abandon, she is wild and free
How much more enthusiastic can she be?
We love every inch of her playing, you see.

We give her a name – wild man.
She strums the beat in time as only she can.
We love this so much, she pleases us well.
A robot who plays a wild ukulele swell....

Tropical Paradise
Birds doth fly above the sky,
flowers fair and nigh;
as the sun comes shining by,
wet white sand to dry.

Soft the breeze from gentlest seas,
sweetly strums guitar;
lassie sings of love and sees
sailor from afar.

Fractured Memories of a Non-Existant Promise
i take a walk outside
never felt so alive
as i do tonight

colors circle round your head
sadness of my heart strums high
as i look into your eyes
feeling burns deep inside
desire to be by your side

it's time to leave here alone,
only with the memory of how your soul shone

ever since i came here, things have been unclear...

Dreaming
I seem to catch a gentle tune
As singing dreams wait for the moon,
And twilight strums the distant wires
To tempt those astral silver fires,

Until at last they paint the land
So that the dreams will understand,
That life is such an endless stream
And it will come to every dream.

Premium Member In Tulips
Old Tim and his tulips of Spring,
he tips and he toes as he sings.
His falsetto voice
is higher by choice—
love’s shrill in the tulips with fling.

In bloom is his hair and moon lights
his face, like a pastoral sprite.
Strums ukulele—
his song sung gaily.
In tulips come Spring and warm nights.

Upward, Downward
He’ s not the one for me

I realized today

He makes me smile…

He makes me laugh

He gives me songs.

Though it is crap

He erases the pain.

When I am down

He strums his guitar.

He sings a tune

He gives compliments.

And he means it every time

He seems too good

He seems so surreal

When I look at him

He is perfect....

Crimson dress in rhythmic sways
She moves just like a burning flame
Her swirling moves, a dance ablaze
 Sweet rhapsody

This rhythmic fire no one can tame
 Kindling the cadence to amaze
 As her dancing ignites acclaim

 The guitar strums ecstatic ways
To a dance of artistic fame
Her movements glow as music plays
 Sweet rhapsody

Seeking the Elements
Rain water, river, elements of sky
this constant flow of natural continuity

and the light is a giver and the earth feels it's warmth as it springs into being.

The force of wind strums it's hands into the dancing trees and the clouds dream up the bluest skies.

The body is just a neighbor within the elements learning the fundamentals of bird wings in flight....

Premium Member The Way of the Sword
If memory was paper
Were pens as sharp as swords
Writers would be soldiers
Pure poets likely lords

If poets starve on streets
While warriors slay the hordes
Greed often slaughters souls
Death strums its chilling chords

As night turns into day
The brave shall shine our way

Instruments of the Forest
Butterfly wings,
Strums like violins in the night.
As
Raindrops descends as tears,
Upon a river and echoes out like a harp.
Through these trees filled with the whispers of angels.
My feet’s sweetly move throughout,
The forest like delicate hands on a piano.
For the forest is my very orchestra,
And you my love are,
The rose that I so cherish, and shower with,
Music....

Lifesong
Lifesong

This is my song.
 It strums the notes
 that are rooted
 within my being
 These cords
 filled with love
 surround me
 carried on wings
 to the heavens
 swirling about
 to engulf
 those around me

 The melody
 plays soft
 in the valley low
 and echo loudly
 the joys
 of mountains climbed
 Overflowing
 my song
 springs forth
 branching out
 its welcome
 to those I adore....

I the lonely poet whose words
spill out onto the page
like blood spatter at a crime scene
will knock at your door
books in my eyes hoping
you'll want to critique them

while others partake of tradition
I will bring cheese
summer sausage, and wine
quote Auden, Ginsberg, and Dove
'til the aurora strums the horizon
this rhythm inspires the wren
that melody signaling the dawn...

A Poet Master
With a master's hand and the strokes of a pen
the stage is set and the play began.

With eloquence and dash he strums
the cords of life and enfolds them
into verse for this, his audience's delight.

He has once again reached the heart and mind
of all who attend with strength of pen
and words by measure of depth finite.

This came to me while reading Keith Bickerstaffe's poem "Dancer"...
