Shhh

Stop break and listen
A song is always playing
Breeze plays the leaves
Cicada strums the strings
As the Vireo's aria unfolds

We should all take a few minutes to shut out the distractions of the modern world and just listen to Mother Nature's melody! Nice write. Regards, John.

Many people don't realize how much they lose when they don't afford time to enjoy quiet and peaceful surroundings ... nature's tunes may vary, but they never disappoint! Regards // paul

I think you were far away when you wrote this work. Dreaming attuned to the music of nature. It flows so easily through the mind. Good write.

I love music – classical mostly. A few bird calls I like, most however annoy my peace and quiet. Sorry, Maureen. Got to be honest. Thanks for the stop by. / M

Hang on while I put my hearing aids in. Ah yes, lovely! OTAY, I confess, I hadda look up Vireo. Seriously, lovely poem, could be complete with just the first two lines. Much wisdom therein. I guess I'd best put my reading glasses on as well. The dictionary described Vireo as having, "a green or gray back, and yellow or white underparts." I thought it said, "underpants!" Sheesh. Cheerduckins! ~ j
