Show I not scrapers of skies, but majestic
Snow-capped mountains in alpine glow.
Show I not individuals of plastic;
But verdure and sylvan where songbirds show....

Memories of garden walks
  Primrose paths, intimate talks
A coin tossed wishfully in a fountain
  Gazing up at snow-capped mountains...

Lazy Sundays in our reading chairs
Sunset, sipping tea in our town square
The glow of ruddy cheeks twilight demarcates
A last toast to Friendship ~ to sow and cultivate...

my eyes gazed

over the doting sun

while i focused on

the tall pines that

lined the darkened forest

i'd remember laughter

a quiet timing of tranquil

thoughts nestled so

beneath me i suppose

the snow capped mountains

craves my warmth as i

craved the divine beacon razs

gently time calmly left me behind...

Premium Member no one asks her age
No one asks troll woman her age
She is older than the petrified forest
twice as old as the snow-capped mountains
Savvy, sage, seasoned, Smithsonian-trained

Hard-working too her followers report
Her fawning fans glom onto every word
Embellishing her feats with adjectives of grandeur
She stacks rocks on her head, consuming none of their flattery....

White
White
By Michelle Morris
27/10/2020

White is seen as purity,
In the peace of a dove or driven snow;
It is the reflection of all the colours
in the rainbow,
And of rarity in nature...

From the fluffiness of clouds in the sky,
To snow-capped mountains gracious,
In hearts pure and filled with joy,
White is a penguin's iceberg haven...

Dear Earth Sorry
Dear earth sorry?
We are very bad humans
We have destroyed you
We have taken away yours emerald meadows
We have cut down tall forests
We have taken away your blue oceans by damping our trash
We have taken away your brown soil from your bottom
We have taken away snow capped mountains from the skies
Sorry is not enough
Sorry is not enough
But dear earth we are sorry!...

Listen to poem:
In the nighttime hours
As the world deftly creeps by
I summon my powers
Spread my wings and fly
Past cotton clouds,
Snow-capped mountains, white
I am lost and I am found
I am beauty and blight

Past the midnight chimes
A soul searching for home
Tangling myself in rhymes
So as to not feel alone
Catch the updraft of hope
Friendship sun on my face
My place in this world in scope
Loathing, with love replace...

Snow Rain
White gown flows like wind blown snow
Even with delicate features, she rides magnificent creatures
Her attributes, heavenly shaped curves, delicious smile
Divine jewel green eyes like set emeralds
With powerful and fine hands she steers her steed
Dynamic cloven hooves pound the passing earth
Snow capped mountains swell with each gait
Toward the towering castle of her dwelling

Breathless
Breathless

Morning dew at its best
natures bloom, a soft caress
crisp winter days and long nights
earth is calm, as if taking a rest

Cascading waterfalls behind the bay
birds chirping, fish at play
glinting light scorching dry rock
a painters easel of disarray

Rippling creeks,snow capped mountains
a magical journey through a desolate land
decaying bark and overgrown brush
some things will never be

just a barren wasteland….....

Snowfall
Snowfall

As the snowflakes slid down in air,
the winter resumes its perfect flair,
Our warm breaths smoke,
the frozen engines choke,

Shiver smiles in conditioned rooms,
stars wink to the hearts in gloom,
White cover gives a tight embrace
shining to bright sun's morning grace,

Snow capped mountains and trees enthral,
As passion heats up the mystic snowfall.

If you believe there is nothing new to see and this world holds no more surprises for you. Then, my friend, strap yourself in and follow me as we track pandas through forests of bamboo and check out blue whales, the giants of the sea. Earth's lakes range in colors from pink to sky-blue, and The Grand Canyon's awesome, I guarantee. From its snow-capped mountains to its vast oceans, Earth is a planet that evokes emotions.

Muir Woods
People bat these words around -
Majesty and grace;
Yet it's hard to find them both
Embodied in one place.

I've gazed on snow-capped mountains,
Seen that Canyon, truly Grand;
And loved Sedona and the red rocks
Of that native land.

But when I saw the redwoods
Jutting straight into the sky,
No words could paint that picture
So I will not even try.

I will repeat majestic, though,
And that will have to do,
For once you see those trees
I think that you'd be humbled, too....

Midnight In Sitka Park
The silence of the park,
seizes the hour of dusk,
where majestic snow-capped mountains
adjoin the skies of midnight blue,
a halo of light encircles the
quiescent scene highlighting
a child's red jacket left behind
on the end of the slide,
the playground is the sanctuary
of childhood beginning and
childhood ending----it is where
laughing and yelling are allowed to be,
especially at midnight when the
spirits of frolicsome adventure overtake
the child in all of us....
