Keep It Short
Make it short

Soothing rain on slates
Heal nerves torn to tatters
Unforgiving is life.

Rain is decanting
A transparent carpet of silk
Untouchable beauty.

Rain chased by gusts
Mad dance around corners
A day fit for heroes....

Plagues
PLAGUES
Play with plagues
Sing with states
Fake with fragrance
Steal with slates
Draw humans with dust
Brag with health
Drowning in the shadows ofsoberiety
I am a lost child
I stay solo
And speak so low
In frightening bellow
I am mean
With no meaning
I am god...

Baby Steps
Back drops of life
Tending down rottenness
Picking doors expensive
Voice activated
No intruders
Quiet enfolds
Inner materials
Grand exits and entrance
Stage manner audience
Mountains back loft
Ski slope catchall
Frontal success
Filling slates jest
Protruding those jealous...

Angry Man:Lazy Man (Palindrome Poetry)
He says, anger brings him to peace, He Lies, Always sleep in fits, Lying dormant begets
clean slates & reversed states, blessed are they that believe that they are blessed, states
reversed & slates clean begets dormant lying, fits in sleep always, Lies he, peace to him
brings anger, says He...

Bat Doors
I sat outside the saloon on a bench
just watching the rain muddy the dirt street.
I was in for wet feet or a long wait.
I played my Jew’s Harp with a twanging beat.

My horse waited across the muddy road
tethered in front of Slates Emporium’s Stores
where I’d bought a couple of choice cigars
before having that drink behind bat doors.
6-16-18...

When booze is handy

Safe inside a fog of disbelief...

Diy Factory
My factory makes factories;
I make them all day by the score:
a flat pack kit, instructions clear -
you leap in through the floating door
and build that factory from in-
side out. And  tell the world that your
new factory makes factories.
They're selling fast - there's more and more...
Reviews are good; I've got five stars
(if someone slates me, please ignore).

For Caren's 'Willy Wonka is not here' contest...

Reconciliation
Pour out the arsenal at the breech
At the feet of the Prince of Peace
Speechless, hands empty I kneel.
No recompense.
Useless are weapons of self-defence,
We all are to blame.
Forgiveness must reign
To clean the slates of pain,
So deep the wounds, the stain!
You wrote on the tablet of my heart.
God blessed us from the start.
So now to be renewed in hope,
To continue the faith; in peace to cope
Day to day,
For this I'll pray....

Tomb of Unburied Days
While volcanoes rehearse to show their teeth
lovers shouting from the well of the house
wave broken condoms rather than broken trust

conflate dissent on self-erasing slates
and prove worse than the old oxen
long following circuitous ways

billowing opposition, discalced defenders

they all assert superior dishonesty
sell cheap what is most dear or make
offences of new affections

I carry the tomb of unburied days

Listen intently..' peace.)
Munitions roar' the worlds mouth!
Utter death! and denial.'

Much life is lost, too bad.!
How do we count? In evil score?
Let us wipe the slates clean.!

Open a vista, the chink of plates
This cup overflow' cease.'

Awaken all peoples
To explore of each chance? piece'
Let it fall, in laps today !

Denying gloom, deny hate'
Give hope a breathing space

Flashback
When I peep into past
And recall life's early morn
Present life stings and pains
Like sting of cactus thorn
For a while I get lost
In sweet memories of playful days
Little playmates and their funny ways
Tops and marbles and kites
Petty squabbles and fist-fights
Eyes wonderous,colored objects
Burlap bags and fragile slates
But like brilliant night of fullmoon
This flashback too recedes soon
And again the cycle of life
Same domestic chores same
Familiar wife...

Lucifer's Cello
The weight of the world
gently pressed against
slates of ivory
plated on an ebony tomb
sheered in jet black polish
as it hums minor seventh arpeggios –
the melodic malady of a refugee
exploring a cyanide denouement

Phyrgian staccato strikes
percussively stabbing the oasis
Lucifer's cello delivers
from the basal epidermis
skin deep sacrilege
surfacing as scars
blitzed blisters
tarnishing the portrait we seek,
as it hides behind
panels of bulletproof glass...

Premium Member Is It Easier
Is it easier in life, for those who cannot consciously close their hearts, to hurts small and large, even after seemingly been run over by a barge. The flipside of this coin, is they can forgive automatically, because their hearts didn’t close all the way, never allowing them to make or want , The wrongful party to actually pay. Anger yes, a flash of sweet revenge, but it all dissipates in their end.Slates clean, peace of mind, able to once again be who they really are, gentle and kind....

Reality
I sit alone on the dock
the lake fading in the dusk
a sun setting like a golden ember
on a dark landscape
offering one thin line of reflected light
a path of watery flames to walk.

But I stay on the wooden slates
lined beneath my crossed legs
and look down into the dark water
where my imagination mixes
seaweed with the faint reflection
of ripples circling your face.

Reach my hand to feel if you have gravity
but I know that you're not real
just a reflection of desire....
