Notes About The Poem
As you can see here I am trying to do more to Make some effect for peace I did this write as Close as I could to the 5 7 7 syllable count of Japanese poetry as there is either a 5 7 5 count Or a 5 7 7..' I hope others may write or do something, though small' yet all things can combine in a big way.!! ..May God bless each reader!

Peoples peace day

Listen intently..' peace.)
Munitions roar' the worlds mouth!
Utter death! and denial.'

Much life is lost, too bad.!
How do we count? In evil score?
Let us wipe the slates clean.!

Dared to smile' to think?
Open a vista, the chink of plates
This cup overflow' cease.'

Awaken all peoples
To explore of each chance? piece'
Let it fall, in laps today !

Denying gloom, deny hate'
Give hope a breathing space
Listen intently.' Peace!

Wonderfully done, Joe. Your theme reminds me of the song Let There Be Peace on Earth with the memorable line "And let it begin with me." You have done just that in your impactful poem! Holy Week blessings to you. May your Easter be filled with blessings!

Well writ Senryu! I find it frustrating that the syllable counter is not integrated in the poem editing page.
