On seaside cliffs
Central Park to Trafalgar square
Soft coos in the air
Flying rats they call them
Found even here
Tar burnt soles and toes
sprint to the shade of the palm
Coconut brown skin
begs the clear sky for solace
but the sea ate all the clouds...
thoughtless inaction
seaside sickness spreads in waves
tsunami lays bare
taste wild strawberry
high mountain meadow sunset
thoughtless inaction
The dance of the waves
Ardent embrace of the sun
Eternal moment.
Sunshine, the seaside
A Gauche
Living with bliss
Moon in sunlight
Boots stepping
Familiar life
Reading foreignly
Stalling, calling.
Eat it.
Beat it.
Leave me behind I don't need a crowd
nor synthetic sounds that are too loud
Drop me off at the shore by the seaside
I will climb a dolphin, don't need a ride
Sun beams down smiling;
tempting us to cast off cares
and play in lively sea
Gaze into rockpools;
lunch on blustery sand dunes
and then home for tea
They say her beauty was sheer perfection
She sun baked in the beach's tourist section
Her swimsuit so thin
It let the sun in
Reveling all her snow white complexion
there was a seagull so fine
daily searching the seaside shoreline
finding a set of false teeth* with glee
made him a gourmet carefree
knowing they'd help him to dine
MOON ISLAND
seaside bumbershoot
harbors
the marooned moon
keeping her all
to himself.
cloudy nights ~
on the mainland.

Beach
Serene, peaceful
Sunbathing, swimming, strolling
Pebbles, seaweed, seashells, driftwood
Surfing, walking, jogging
Beautiful, sunny
Seaside
Waves break at the seaside
ancestry screams in fury...
keep waste out of here!
I kissed a girl,
A very friendly sort
While I was staying
At a seaside resort
One kiss led to another
One kiss led to the other
And one kiss led to her
Becoming a mother

Made in the Shade
Ruby Begonia sits in seaside shade
Reading a book and sipping lemonade
Slathers on sunscreen
Her freckles unseen
Miss Ruby won't join the "Nude Beach" parade.
Sun
Excites
After lunch
Swimming with friends
In
Deep
Entraps
Floundering
Under water
Numb

Listen to poem:
The ocean, rivers and lakes.
All bring joy to me.
I live seaside, hear its call.
To be wet, wild, free.
Feeling so amazed.
To swim, fish, sail, gawk and walk,
With water I'm fazed.
seagulls' wings flitter
wild waves hustle into cliffs ~
jazzing tropic sun
~
shaggy mangroves sway
ivory clouds twist and twirl~
waltzing 'neath June sky

Shoreline washed clean,
shadow of the grave left far behind,
towel in hand
She sweeps back -
Her slick, golden tresses,
ridding them of the waves
and ridding them of the world.
searing summer sun
seeking seaside sanity
sea breezes save Soul

Wet with sweat, the seaside called my name
Coastal waters taught me to proclaim
Gentle breeze on water
Sweating, getting hotter
Bikini came off, despite the shame!
On our skin gleams pearl white sand
in the sheen of setting sun.
From sea deep as our love - come
waves caressing land.

Not words
Not flowers
Nor platitudes
Not even Jesus
To love
is to be
in peace not with God
with yourself
Too many old fools
buried in seaside graves
never learn
eyes closed long before death
Watching the summers final shoot
Seaside vewing my scenes blotted
Lines taking an exhausted breath...
Thinking in a sigh tis vacation time
Eight months and rewrites; telefax
Over budget; signing notes a photo.
Well done beings.
We live and fulfill.
We are the ex-ex-ex.
Living life in danger.
River flows.
Lakes stream.
360 degree spin.
Experience, such as is.
Replace the sea
Seaside
Draw me in the waves
As seen.

Seaside
speaks harmonies
turquoise-emerald hues
blissful coral passions emerge
to kiss
the heavenly cotton nimbus
that sails in bluest skies
light revelry
in bloom.
