Made In the Shade

Made in the Shade

Ruby Begonia sits in seaside shade
Reading a book and sipping lemonade
Slathers on sunscreen
Her freckles unseen
Miss Ruby won't join the "Nude Beach" parade.

I went to the beach yesterday for the first time this year. Loved it! Came home smelling like salty seawater, sunscreen, sandy skin, and sunshine. Thanks for the fun limerick, I'm with Ruby - no parades!

Thanks Michael! Humor and laughter really are the best medicine. It has been proven we are less susceptible to disease when we laugh. So here's to humor and staying well my friend!

Great limerick, Sam! I don't blame her. A sunburn on certain body parts is quite painful. I speak from experience, but mine was from a tanning bed. That's my story, and I'm sticking to it...lol. Thanks for the laugh. Rhonda xx

That's always been my philosophy, Tom. Why keep a good thing hidden?! Went back and reviewed your notes on writing a limerick - most helpful. I think, though, I will stay away from the nettles! Thanks again. Over Fork Over!
