Notes About The Poem

To Love

Not words
Not flowers
Nor platitudes
Not even Jesus

To love
is to be
in peace not with God
with yourself

Too many old fools
buried in seaside graves
never learn
eyes closed long before death

Everything revolves around and stems from the Self.. when we keep reaching a deeper understanding of the Self.. when we spare no effort to attain that inward harmony.. I think Love, Light and beauty find a cosy and thriving aura to lead that very Self to the highest dimensions of bliss and grace, genuinely alive! A brilliant work of art and Arthur! I enjoyed reading your profound poem.. Stay blessed with Beauty and Light..

There are times when we close our eyes so that we will not have to acknowledge the path we're on. Arthur, your last line gave me chills. So true. A fave for me. Hugs, Carolyn
