Alfonso on a red horse
a huge rocking of the stars
where twinkling lasso stirs up
the sparkling dance floor
Rocking in his chair
Thick smoke drifts everywhere
Dark eyes behind hair

Sometimes
When I am very still
I can feel my heartbeat
Rocking me back and forth
Ever so gently
It's a very small motion
she love to sit
and do this
while she dip
the chair shifts
and rock non stop
she still has long hair

how grand mama set

as she would eat

with love in the air
in that

I close my eyes
savouring the memory
of the clash of waves
and rhythmic sway
that rocked my childhood

Caressing my bare flesh
Soothing my soul, calming

It's not very nice to gloat
When anybody rocks somebodies boat,
But some people are bad

ROCKING CHAIR
Rocking wooden horse
flourishing guffaw of kid
child in mother wakes
Footsteps echo, whispers fade,
grief lingers where light once dwelled.
The earth sighs, arms stretched wide,
cradling silence, rocking pain and loss.
Baby powder soft,
Warm security comfort -
Worthiness restored.
Rocking, patting my back cures -
Maternal gifts give lifelong.
where she used to rock her kids to sleep;
arms empty now, she starts to weep.
