Take Back Your Heart
Too many years
 too many hard times
 too many mistakes to forgive
 too many memories resurface
when you look for a new love
you're welcome
 to take back your heart....

Dreams Rediscovered
dreams cannot vanish
but do get concealed by life
in responsibilities
smothered by details
buried deeper day-by-day
they lay waiting patiently
to be found again
a joyful discovery
when they resurface and soar...

Feelings Attack
Pain in the doing,
  ease in the writing

Memory calls distant,
  words answer back

Time of no meaning,
  experience flows

Images resurface
 —feelings attack

Hearing
Stranges voices
Causing an afflicted mind
Feeling a sensation like a
Needle that pricks all your body and soul
Submerging in a black abyss
Without a future hope
Of resurface
Again

Spirit Flying For Solomon
Spirit Flying

Up around me things were slowly dying;
Needed something to keep spirit flying;
For a while had paused and hesitated;
Internet to resurface waited and waited;
On your advice and support am relying.

Tears of wax are frozen in time,
yet they morph from sad to happy;
A statue that’s covered in grime;
Tears of wax are frozen in time,
feelings resurface with downtime;
Wide smile transforms anxiety;
Tears of wax are frozen in time,
yet they morph from sad to happy....

Dive
I want to
swan dive in, trajectory perfect
landing right in your center
I want to
go deep into your depths
before I resurface
I want to
trudgen through your mind
backstroke through you spirit
breaststroke through your soul
butterfly through your fantasies
I want to
get wet...

Spectrum of colors arise with great force
Exploding in prism gleams that resurface

Symbol of hope after the storm passes
Captivate your eyes with its mysteries

Toxicity
With words that attack
I will bring you aback
To explore pains you have hidden
Resurface memories that you have long ridden
Venom like a snake bite I'll be leaving my mark
Leaving you alone and lost in the dark
Toxicity in nature questioning how long it will last
Can you feel the devastation of your past...

Dairy Queen
Ice Milk flavor to cool your tongue.
It's crisp ice crackling the surface.
A crown of fluid come splashing on down
makes a wonderful liquid resurface.

With it's sweet milk flavor to suckle you up.
just to nurture it's comfort of drool.
What a wonderful cone just to fill it on up,
and handle to keep it all cool....

What We See
your face continues to resurface within my dreams
the pain is just enough to make me scream
there is always some hint i have to find
it all spins around inside my mind
i turn and listen to the musics beautiful sound
sometimes i just want to follow you around
when i look at you im not sure what i see
i hope that when you look you happen to see me...

attention fixated
in bliss magnetism
we tend to neglect
diktats of destiny

it’s not laziness
but a shift in focus
wherein nonchalance
renews soul’s vibrancy

boundaries blur
space and time dissolve
we sometimes resurface
to see what’s going on

life is but a play
yet if so called upon to act
we do go through the motions
playing the game with zeal...

October
October (a bad case of timing)

A bad case of timing
coffee and sleep
pills and nightmares
from the deep

And drowning in my head,
the watermark
a tide of dreams undreamed
lost in the wash
of a shadow silent sea

As morning rises
the dreams that sunk
resurface in golden lines
moving towards me

And back, below the watermark I go
just another bad case of timing...

Seized Sea's Tumult
Sapphire currents
          engulf consciousness
      'neath waves of confiscated
   ancient sunken treasure,
delving neath oceans
       cobalt manifests,
   lost riches of bygone eras
   destined to respectfully
        resurface its significance,
   midst new horizons' encompassed
realms as clarity's power deeply inhales
                 depths of salty sea's tumult...

With Fiends Like This
All my friends have turned to fiends
Disturbed fits them to a tee
hee became a chuckle insidious
Trust in shallow grave
hastily buried
Face down in case it tries to resurface
Every helping hand loped
----------------------------------- o
----------------------------------- -ff
Every gift been stolen
Pity been spat in my face
Walked through over and passed
alone i think i will last...

I Miss You
I miss you,
I miss the warmth
In your sheepish eyes,
That unblinking look of holiness

I miss you,
I miss the sparkle
Of that breathtaking smile
That sent my heart racing for miles.

I miss you,
I miss the honesty
On your saintly face
Always promised me an old age of caress.

I miss you,
I miss the oneness
Of our last embrace
How I wish it can resurface.

I miss you,
I miss you
I miss you
Yes, I do...

Sinful Thoughts
Restless minds of eternal thoughts.
Even in sleep,
They resurface as dreams.
Pause;
A while to ponder.
Instead they zoom right in,
Causing havoc between dreams and reality.
What have I done?

I am the Alpha of my thoughts,
Although my Omega needs to be sought.
 ‘Oh lord!’ is my cry,
‘End this weariness,’
‘Show me the light.’
For;
I am being tormented;
By my own mind.

Premium Member The Dream Days
Dreamy days of summer, violet petals on the wind,
Apple green forest music, too bad it will soon end,
Petals cover wild walkways, summer's just leaving,
Trees are weeping beauty, summer is just grieving.

Tangelo sun is arising, full of destiny and purpose,
Like fading seasons, always managing to resurface.
Sunlit carpet of petals, late in a pretty garden year,
Like puffy clouds, always going, until others appear....

Finding Me
Momentarily devoured by chaos
Temporarily exhausted from
Judgmental echoes.
Expression threatens a spiraling
Hostility ,fevered by grieving.
Unwelcome shame and sadness
Are the persuasive excuses
Effectively accelerating a
Self-inflicted corruption contaminated!
Flawlessly destroying innocence
Values and loyalty.
Reluctantly you will resurface,
Speechless and paralyzed, exposed!
The conclusion was a bittersweet
Gratification....

History and Time
Time slips passed
  not waiting for invitation.
Looking back, history lies in the lost years
today, forgotten what was once achieved.
Every struggle seems to continually resurface
and old solutions fail and fade into the dark.
Guns and war are like love salt and peppered with hate
and time just marches on, undisturbed.
Nothing seems to change
we want, we need, we give, we take
and everything else should fall in place
  marking time....

Premium Member Moving Wont Matter
Moving Won’t Matter Written: by Tom Wright 3/3/2018 A wise man once told me “moving won’t matter”, Your troubles will forever hitch a ride with you. Trouble’s, are like seed, that winds will scatter, And the passing of time sees them quickly accrue. In mind’s duffel, troubles repose in disguise, Leaving them behind only becomes an illusion. That they resurface should be no surprise, And your resident state will be named confusion.

Wounds
Wounded I lie
Wounded by the ravages of time….
By the twists and turns of life….
By the heartless remarks…..
I dressed these wounds everyday
But they never healed
Then one day
A wound said to me,
‘’Leave us alone,
Just let us be…
We give you the essence of living
We help you to feel
We gave you a tender heart’’…..
Now I feel
Wounds never heal
They just gather dust with time
Whenever a storm comes,
Strong winds blow off the dust
And in no time these wounds resurface.....
