trees in the green breeze
in gold glazed heady sunshine
scent songs are searching

millions of blossoms
fluttering freshness like spring
wave goodbye to clouds

nice noon has gone still
sweet lifetime wears a big smile
wanton butterflies...

Ravishing Rosie Redbud raced red roadsters rapidly down the roadside.
Racing recklessly, Rosie Redbud rammed Roger Reynold's red ranger,
resulting in ruined wrecks and a raving, ranting Roger.

Ravishing Rosie wreaked havoc with tongues.
For Gwen's Tongue Twister contest...

Alice's House
Redbud and dogwood have blossomed
above the tulips and jonquils where
Alice's house used to be.

A possum and raccoon nose around
where the garage was before the tornado.
An armadillo has joined them.

Someone has hung a red feeder from
the old clothesline. No hummingbirds yet.
Spring has brought new life over there.

One Bluejay's Time
One Bluejay’s Time

A heavy old Bluejay perches on a dead redbud limb,
His black eyes survey what he claims as his own;
Little sparrow subjects wait while he feeds,
He grabs a bite and eats alone.

The winged ones he thinks he has bullied,
Perch, camouflaged and wait,
Wait for years if they must, they are kind,
They will win – it’s the Bluejay’s fate....

Loving Tennessee Spring
White trees-dogwood,
Purple trees-redbud,
Magnify beauty
As only Tennessee could.

Yellow jonquil-slips
Colorful tulip-cups
Enhance Tennessee
As spring interrupts.

The chill of the ice-white
The winter wind-long
Gives way in Tennessee
To a palette of song.

Oaks in squirrel-scurry
And birdcall-ring
Announce that there's nothing
Like Tennessee in the spring.

Tragedy In Black
Sanhedrin's dark secret
obsession.
Jealousy brewed within them.
A traitor betrays the most
high. Set forth on this epic
black night.
Roman soldiers are led and
arrest Jesus.
Judas realizes what he's done,
and cries out," I have committed
a terrible sin!" Silver pieces
thrown, at the high priest. As
guilt overwhelms him.
He escapes his torment.
Swaying in the wind, hanging
from a Redbud tree.

Premium Member All Creatures
As cold tinges Redbud turning leaves gold
All creatures sing praises to God above
In stillness a red sun rises slowly
Inching its way above horizon gray
Will it disperse gray clouds with burts of light?
Only God knows what the day's future holds
But in His presence at this moment now
I am blessed to witness a glorious
Sunrise of red cast upon those gray clouds
Let the beauty of the sunrise lead me
To a beautiful spirit to grace day...

Premium Member A Great Morn's Show
As morn's sun cracks the horizon
Casting pink Easter dress
Redbud stands with newly acquired
Full green hair, I am blessed

The fireball sun floats on pink clouds
Like China doll surrounded
By full dress and stiff crinoline
God's beauty compounded

As the roosters steadily crow
Song birds sing very close
A new song I have just heard
Turkeys' gooble like ghost

The sun has changed from red to orange
Now it has become gold
God has choregraphed
For all a great morn's show...
