So unexpected;
arriving after the fire,
as the embers cooled;
quenched with hateful bitterness.
Kindling for a sorry heart.

Love Requited

She lay there seduced
To a pile of ashes reduced
An all engulfing flame
He set her on fire
Through the night
Quenched her desire

Premium Member Two Worlds Colliding

As poverty grows
in this place once of plenty...
addled world collides

So many cultures
quenched for masters of sameness...
two worlds colliding.

Ships

She launched one-hundred ships,

She quenched the thirst of men’s souls,

She imprisoned hearts with a single look,

Yet, you grow brighter than her with every stolen glance.

Quenched

The darkness was prominent
Hope only peeked in and out
The synapses were not responding
My mind was in a drought
Then the rains came
The land was quenched
And brought hope about

Teen Love

They sat on a bench
Their hands nearly quenched
The love that they shared
The feelings they carried
Love in their teens
Just not seen
They grew a lot older
They reunited again.

Quenched

Love drenched,
Thirst quenched,
Heart clenched.
Desire sated,
Pain abated,
Feel elated.
Tearful fears,
Yearning sears,
Love endears.

Premium Member Sunshine and Showers

Briefly,
a passing shower
quenched an arid field.

Slowly,
an unforgiving sun
parched it anew.

Premium Member The Unquenchable Thirst

I seek the intoxicating thirst
that can not be quenched
To shower a lover with tender warm kisses
and be drenched
again
again
and again................

Intoxicating

I am intoxicating... my beautiful voice soars. Singing with pulsating tones my song is quenched in sweetness, Each breath I invite ravishes souls elegantly dance. Romancing love to ignite.
