Russian spy Boris Badenov
Met CIA double agent Gregory Gudenov
They winked at each other
~ They had the same mother
“ Why did you have to do that?”
“Do what?”
“Run over that [dead] squirrel?”
“Because I’m heartless”
“What?”
”Huh?”
Quiet baby
wakes and wants thirst quenched.
That why his lips quiver?

For Broken Wing's Form Q contest.
With gentlest care
as cool mountain air,
she heals the wounded
scars of why I am.
Mother's whisper,
soul's soothing balm.
Tears stained her good skirt.
Lapped child, he’s fair hurt.
Kissed knee with first aid.
Soft wiped the laud dirt.
Poor child crying his eyes out;
Clutching on with vice-like grip...
Peeling her child off her legs;
Sad mom heads to work.
once an old con bob hanks
greeted tellers with thanks
please call me dom
named for my mom
then thieved his way through banks.
Mom’s words cut like a knife, honed razor sharp
Which shattered my new wife
Mom now, after years of strife
Says I married up in life!
the mothers of war
gave their golden wedding rings
and sometimes a son

In the dark I am alone
Without my wife, without my son
I wish to die but then I cry
I cry, cry and cry
Till the tears in my eyes all run dry
mothers day pilot pam bass
feeling a bit bored and crass
flew east in a wink
right into the drink
losing her sons boarding pass.
Feeling warm,
Mommy’s cold,
sense of duty,
Mommy stays,
First of four clouds,
She clears the sky,
So light can shine,
On the cloud she raised.
Form:
Wow! What a great move!
He fakes them out of their shoes!
Fifty points tonight...
Yeah, my son, 'the superstar'
~ Wish he'd treat his mother right
Pure, sweet voices
in the arms of their mothers
Cheering on Al Sharpton
and Maxine Waters
A charming way to educate
innocent sons and daughters
Crippled by embarrassment,
Waves from past cover my shore,
Sorry my friend, you had your feet dirty from it.
I hanker, this doesn’t deter your steps.
Form:
Her only son is this remiss in
that to advice, he won't listen
But her friends say, this find bliss in
your son cries not when you French-kiss him
Teary mom waves ciao.
Through the school's louvre, he shouts,
"I want to go home!"

FIRST PLACE
We are all of us kings and queens
I don't mean in family genes
But: God loves us to smithereens
We're adopted to royal means
(Jesus is King, Mary the Queen)
dumped like trash
feeling like garbage
his wives had never understood him
he wished now he had treated his mother better
she would not pick up the phone for him
Grandfather's Suitcase
He left it,
for me, she says.
Inside it
are his trilby
and the books
we used to read,
and somehow, his scent of pipe.

King arrives
Bawling
Squalling
Swift smack
On bottom
Really mad now
Everyone is smiling
Except King
This world
Is a shocker
Two seconds
Out of womb
Too often, I find, you’ve fallen behind
Brightly, you shine, at end of the line
More passion than most
Intensely you boast
Embrace your design, in a world, unkind
When Momma said, 'Wash with soap'
I heard, somehow, 'Watch the soaps'
She'd come and turn the TV off, said
~ 'At least your hands are clean and soft'
