Obstacles
OBSTACLES
There are so many obstacles
How can we overcome to reach the impossibles
Do you have to anything to replace follicles
I will give you all of the popsicles

Beatrice
Beatrice
lives down the block
she
likes her porch
she has a big
darning basket
with socks
and yarn
Beatrice
lives in that rocking chair
I swear
back and forth
when we run by to the store
for popsicles
she never gets one...

Tuxedoed and sequinned
Sixty starlings sing in the driving rain
Facing where the sun should be
Each pinnacles atop a leaf-bare branch
Black popsicles upon October's tree
Leaf confetti blowing to the ground
As they loudly choir their symphony...

Premium Member We Were a Motley Crew
We were a motley crew
No pirate flag or eye patches
Still we were gloriously dangerous
The neighborhood kids
The south side gang
We tore up the air with laughter
Running house to house with popsicles
Tormenting the dogs who chased after us
Wanting to be in laps that never sat...

Premium Member Castles of Sand
Childhood memories--a magical land,
Building dreams amid castles of sand.
Sleepovers underneath starry skies,
Ghost stories, popsicles, blueberry pies!
We never paused to regard our delight;
Then we were gone-- grew up overnight.

Pink Confection
hot and sweltering
         pink lemonade popsicles drip

lemon sweet drops
on crisp linen aprons

The Dog's Fun with Grandma

My daughter's dog is in love with me?
His dish like, excited eyes seem starving.
But over my legs he goes balmy licking,
Oh, that ~Olive lotion from Crete!

My legs are ambrosial popsicles to him!
That pooch cannot for hours stop licking.
Oh, that divine exuberance, from the sprit of Mt Olympus ~
Olive lotion from Crete!

Cold Or Hot?
Cold is so relaxing:
Ice cubes and snow on all the winter sleighs
Strawberry ice-cream
And Cloudy winter days
Popsicles so colorful
Wind in you hair
The continent of Antarctica
The white fur of a polar bear

Hot is so relaxing:
Steamy showers
Cute, cuddly dogs
Having heat ray powers
A partially burned log
A hot, hot oven
And jalapeno peppers
Yes, for sure, the heat is what I'm lovin'...

Cold air of winter.
Trees with no leaves.
The snowflakes softly falling.
Nights by crackling fire.

Time of new birth.
Gentle breeze is blowing.
Sweet smelling flowers blooming.
A sunny Spring day.

Days by the ocean.
Delicious smell of barbecue.
Children lick their popsicles.
Summer sun is shining.

Leaves start to fall.
The air turns crisp.
The days turn short.
Autumn is upon us.

Sin
You taste like sin
But smell like summer:
Heat waves on the pavement,
Downy detergent and cotton t-shirts,
Red popsicles,
Lemonade and decades-old melodies,
Hot rain in the middle of a pool party;
Our bathing suits are already soaked,
Yet we run for cover nonetheless.
Invite me in,
Let me dry you off
And wring you out.
I’ll be your midday nap
And midnight snack.
You taste like sin
But look like a saint....

Happy Days
Making food for your family early in the morning puts
You in a very happy mood and makes you proud
{But only when you don't do it often}having fun playing
In the sun all day makes you come closer and not
Stray from the happy days you want to have every day
Like in May with popsicles or inside with targeting
Missiles, games and social networks make you stray from reality
Crazay, but all that maters is that you have a happy day...

Miserable Midsummer
Miserable Midsummer

‘Tis midsummer, and we have no choice;
The thermometers have reached a peak,
Three digits creeping and sticking,
Air conditioners running full speed.

We look at heat waves out the window
We wait for dusk and something cold
Hope mama remembered popsicles,
And little bathers splash so bold.

We wait for the big weatherman
To say there’s a break, I smell fall,
Midsummer comes, but it will go,
And gold and red will cover all....

Sequence of winter icicles
frozen over like popsicles
we are puffed like dropsical

weathering snow we walk into
a fortress named, "Fairies Igloo"
to look for the girl in blue

she, Deity of the forest glen
has silky hair of red cayenne
and chirrs like a lovely wren

its the season of snow and love
as peaceful as a mourning dove
she was sent, from up above .
