The moonlight was
PEARLESCENT.
EVENTIDE had been
Long gone.
FERAL HOWLING 
Could be heard.
It was eerie!
And it CRIMPED 
my style!
There was a
TANG of 
Fear in my mouth!
The normal THRUM of a
Usually soothing
Was not!
It was all

There is more to introspection,

On the flying wings of life. 

 as I try to plumb

its recesses with my halo-genic light.

 I never see the shadows, although I suppose

They must be there, yet if they don’t project on me

Plus we only queue up two-a-day,
