the man in the moon
is a dancer
pirouetting on stardust,
eclipsing the dark with his silver light.
I listened
It had started
A soft crinkling
Of dry leaves
Pirouetting
Across the field
Leaping into the wind
Spiraling sails
Adrift
On a sea of blue
I bid them
adieu
toes
en pointé
reeling high
dancer of swans
her brisk frame...pirouetting like night wind----
I watch her arms flip when tragedy lurks
pas de deux wanes
cascading
i n t o
death

Chilled air swirling ‘round,
Snowflakes pirouetting down,
Fireplaces giving warmth-
Horn of plenty full,
Stuffed turkey and pumpkin pie,

We
are
strolling
by moonlight.
Soft silver shadows
glow on an inky blue ocean
I love how they sparkle and glisten like tiny stars
Pirouetting gracefully as prima ballerinas with the ocean as their stage
Fifteen frenzied fowls with frilly frightening feathered frocks
Pirouetting, prancing, preening against granite rocks
Generating elongated, lively lollygagging locks,
Strutting around in their striped chicken-like socks.

forage for little acorns
swallows all fly south
wizened leaves falling
pirouetting down to earth
log burner blazes
carpet of dead leaves
beautifies the forest floor
biting winds and rain

A cloud of scarlet and crimson petals
Spill down from above,
Pirouetting delicately
As they clasp the breeze
In a silent, fluttering waltz.
Drips of colour stain sherbet white snow,
Blossoming chaotically
As the legion of scandal - red petals
Pour relentlessly down.
Flowers for the living.
Each time that I see her
A switch is stimulated within me
So arcane yet freakishly alluring
And like a tiger hunting its prey
I chased her pirouetting shadow ever so enthusiastically
The taste of it quite addicting in a hopelessly romantic sense
Tirelessly becoming the axis on which my beliefs lie
As nights draw in, the silver harvest moon
Shines boldly through defenceless, naked trees
And pirouetting leaves will settle soon,
For winter’s riding on the autumn breeze.

The woman
That pirouettes and pirouettes,
Pirouetting as she sweats
And pirouette amongst the reveries
Of men, ---
Underneath the strobe lights
Their libidos
Are great black swans
Against the bloodied vanilla sky.
In the moment
They bark crimson pyre.
The woman, ---
Pirouetting as she sweats,
Young men.
A lovely vision caught my eye
A pirouetting butterfly,
It climbed a sunbeam as it danced
As in the air it turned and pranced,
In my mind it seemed to be
A little ballet... just for me.

We sit at the waters edge comforting a sweet embrace.
It stills our hearts and breaths to see the dolphins play.
Synchronized arches of dance in the air and back down.
Nose first into the sea and back up again breaking surf.
Flair of beauty, impressive moves, pirouetting from the sea.
They're awe-inspiring masters of their water ballet display.

I watch them rise on a warm zephyr breeze
like pirouetting ballerinas
spinning and twirling in mid air
in white gossamer tutus.
Small dandelion clocks
are parachuting
onto the ground -
nature’s way
to spread
seeds

Asters and morning glory stud on the ground,
In fresh blooming scents fill the air as they abound;
Butterflies and bees hovering and perching to probe,
Are ardent kisses for month’s enchantment in our globe.
Golden trees’ pirouetting foliage boast with sunshine,
Raining confetti-leaves bless born babies, so divine!
Last rainy day Bobby's dancing observation
About umbrellas seemed mystical revelation
Winds might have made bouncing umbrellas
Through four year old eyes look like funny fellas
Or a "Brella Ballet" pirouetting
On point like tops spinning
And Singin' in the Rain
Could be an accurate refrain
When I see him again
I'll ask him to explain
Palatial...
Zephyrs spring tide
Winds gently blowing in
Greeting the dawn; elegant
Twilights sweet farewell
As colourful banners sway
Amid its summer breeze kiss
A chorus lines reflection
Gazing about this, golden
Pristine pond lovely ballerina's
Pirouetting atop these perfect
Waters preparing to grace
Poetics mirrored stage...
Her sunsets encore.
Reoccurring dream teases me almost awake
I see myself in a lithe taut dancer’s body
There is a swirl of translucent chiffon
I feel myself pirouetting on a stone bridge
Promises of castles and a prince in the distance
Moonlight serenade given to me by sandman
If I die tonight, I die fulfilled, full of joy
I dance toward the rainbow bridge with eagerness
