Notes About The Poem

Blowing In the Wind

Nature-  "In all things of nature there is something of the marvelous."  Aristole I watch them rise on a warm zephyr breeze like pirouetting ballerinas spinning and twirling in mid air in white gossamer tutus. Small dandelion clocks are parachuting onto the ground - nature’s way to spread seeds 05/21/20

I just love your tribute to dandelions and their amazing way of propagating the race. I used to say that adulthood begins when you start viewing them as annoying weeds. You resurrected the childlike wonderful in your poem... I love the phrase "pirouetting ballerinas". And I'm old enough to pick up on the Dylan reference in the title. Congratulations on your #1 win, my dear friend ~ John

thanks Tom, we have stormy weather approaching - they may be cancelling the ferry, from 1st june hairdressers/ barbers and tattoo parlours can re open - how they will distance is beyond me, dentists can re open but they are refusing! too much too soon... and schools re opening around 16th ish June - not compulsory for parents to send them in though until September - utter chaos for parents/ children and staff alike! I hope we do not pay dearly for these changes:-( hugs Jan xx

How clever - to start with 10 and reduce to one - I have made many wishes blowing dandelion seeds - my favorite, 'white gossamer tutus' - this is a beauty, Jan!
