Notes About The Poem

December is the time our extended family gathers together for a beachside holiday leading up to the celebration of Christmas and the New Year together. It's a time to laze, gaze and faze at the stunning joy of the beach. => For the 'A Trois-par-Huit for December' Contest. Sponsored by: Andrea Dietrich

Listen to poem:

laze daze faze

on the shore shells dance spin to implore toy tops pirouetting in sea foam tiny ballerinas twirling for me alone as I splash in the shallows on the walks I roam to enjoy the warmth of summer's blaze on beach side holidays laze daze faze

Lovely image in line 2 but unfortunately the syllable count was off. I enjoyed your creative take. Congrats in my contest

The imagery of spinning shells, twirling “tiny ballerinas,” and shallow splashes is vivid and charming... Congrats John.. Merry Christmas..
