Inspirational poem dedicated to my four year old grandson Bobby

Last rainy day Bobby's dancing observation About umbrellas seemed mystical revelation Winds might have made bouncing umbrellas Through four year old eyes look like funny fellas Or a "Brella Ballet" pirouetting On point like tops spinning And Singin' in the Rain Could be an accurate refrain When I see him again I'll ask him to explain

Jan, thanks muchly for the comment. Bobby in the poem age four now, disavows ever having said "dancing umbrellas". Kids say the darndest things. Go figure. Keep that ink flying Jan.

absolutely charming poem Greg, I especially loved the third stanza. My son is home for a flying visit and borrowed my brolly - its the first time it's been used in many many years as it's usually too windy to put one up without it ending up in the umbrella graveyard of twisted spines and cloth!:-) hugs Jan xx

This is so refreshing! Lyrical in fact. Those grandchildren are something else! Enjoyed this!

Who knows what it'll mean to him if he reads this twenty years from now? So it goes.

Who can "tella"? Maybe Bobby will write a novella! Seriously though WW, thanks for noticing my little ditty. It was just for fun and you got it.
