Flower courtship is gorgeous, dainty and lovely to see.
You have to hide with me behind the coconut tree.

Along soon will come their minister bee....

Lovely,
Spring butterfly,
in your orange and black.
A beautiful graceful monarch
sipping
violet peony flowers.
Your wings lightly flapping,
your feet anchored.
Peaceful!

Premium Member Peony Delight
Peony delight, nectar of princesses
Joyful ebony ants paraded toward them
A steady stream, covering the bulb of a blossom
The plant rejoiced. Loving the attention.
Wind whistled approval; sure sign of summer solstice.
Blossoms tucked inside, listened to the avalanche of attention.
Instantly recognizing and approving the wonderfulness of nature...

Premium Member The Peonies Are Gone
The peonies by the front porch are gone
Late this year they lingered, never fading,
Reds, pinks, and white made warm bouquets
For the gravesites of family and friends in May.

The honeybees feasted on the peony blooms
As did the ants who love their sweet nectar,
Until rains came and plundered the petals
The peonies by the front porch are gone.

I’ll watch
over you
my darling
as I prepare your bed
with gentle petals
of rose and peony

Close your eyes
and sleep
my sweetheart
surrounding you
with warmth
and love
I’ll soothe
your aches
and ease
your mind

I’ll watch
over you
my darling
with my heart
my life

BUTTERFLIES RETURN
After the storm azalea perfumes
the lawn yellow., the bay tree
curtseys low,the copper stirs
and a firecrest alights upon
the smoke tree. Butterflies return
to sun,weed covers the pond,here
and there the ceanthus coloured blue
stops the honey bee in its tracks.Ivy
climbs the wall un noticed, the peony
all dressed in white fragrants the air.

Premium Member Petrichor Music
music reminds my soul of peony and rose efflorescence petrichor scents. Roaming among fountains of her blossoms, lost in bucolic elegance. Whispering sweet sighs like verses for music ash smoke brought drops of doom. Was it a mere mirage or a brief dance with dalliance, but this ephemeral epiphany, just like nature's seasonal moods, left lyrics on my lips, until storms blew ash smoke

A Certain Flower
you in
your very
being being
constantly green

but then spending
time until springing
dearly bringing your bud
pink not so red but it is written

life as
a peony
a natural
agreement

not even
but beyond
since sharing
a relationship that's

not
chaotic
but a master
piece symbiotic

you
bud
me
ant

you give
off sticky
stuff love
that i want

so i
gladly
eat you
so sate i

realize
i've made
come alive
your true flower...
