Steals my

Outlaw escapes.
He won’t bring it back;
Still I give chase.
Lucky me,
He’s dropped
It.
The outlaw Robin Hood,
Lived in the Forest of Sherwood.
With his band of merry men he scored,
Robbing the rich to give to the poor.

Odious transgressor,
Often wearing face masks.
Objective - get money.
Ominous demeanor,
Offensive behavior,
Out maneuvers the law.
Ostracized by good folk.
Jesse James
Albia Iowa’s claim to fame
remembering when the bank got held up
they celebrate annual Jesse James Day
in honor of the outlaw who did not hurt people
A new sheriff in town named Shaw
Came to get rid of an outlaw
They would slap leather soon
Around the time of noon
Sheriff was faster on the draw!

At my bank I went off with a bang
for ATM fees it on me sprang.
If not I get fobbed
and feel I’ve been robbed
by the outlaw hole-in-the-wall gang!
The evil he did nobody saw
he was the right was the law
but judged with nonsense
gave a deceptive sentence
would he be a judge or an outlaw?
There once was an outlaw named Bill
Who was hoping the sheriff to kill
He missed his first shot
But the sheriff did not
Now he's the one bound for boot hill...

I'm just a typical working bloke
Who went to court for taking a toke
My brief, my attorney
And my financial journey
I lost now I'm totally broke
The outlaw has come to our friendly land
His words are his weapons to slay and to kill
I pray for him really, for he not understands
But just mocks from ignorance as that is his thrill
Here lies the outlaw James Dillon
Most of all he needed killin'
The posse made of twenty souls
Buried him here shot full of holes

like feeling
the fall when
approaching
the edge of
the world
yet wait why
would my
own weight
pull me down
thinking i've
always been
an outlaw
but this
will be
gravely
breaking
the law of
gravity

Voting for Cortez for POTUS, you bet ~
Wait! She’ll outlaw fossil fuels
And I can't drive or fly mules ~
Is it too late to rescind my vote yet?
I got to thinkin' about Billy the Kid
and the peculiar line of work he did.
If I were Billy's older brother or pa,
I would say, "instead of bein' a bad outlaw",
why not get yerself an education,
a 401K and three weeks' vacation.

I am your father in outlaw...
Political Outlaw was his mother
The offspring was he
A fallen thug
He thought he was immortal 'til them five slugs
Doctors couldn't save him
Angels had to take him
He had become legendary
In the hearts of his fans they still love him
See he wasn't a bad person at all
Just not understood
I have zero regard
for structure and form
if the words as written work
A poetic outlaw
to ruled acceptance
in search of what may lurk
Critics and enemies
seed the cloud
that overflows with spite
To rain upon
my chosen path
— of radical delight
(Bryn Mawr College: January, 2024)
indonesian beaches and
days of infinite hunger
drunk and repellent
I am again
there’s no time for fishy flattery
'cause god called a horseman
flogging a dead horse
outlaw of the oscillation nation
playing with matches
by the gas-works
and I have this foreboding
of foreign foods
and fishmonger hooks
"New Gold Dream"
Fever bites
manifestation burns
towards you
prowls on soft footed paw
takes its time -
it’s an Outlaw
automatic written
change gears
foot flat and hard
to the floor
shift up
lanes changed
slow cars
passed . . .

Bonanza on my TV
After that the Rifleman
Democrats watch Westerns, too
I can't write cowboy poetry
since I a not a cowboy
But I have been to Texas
and written for a publication based there
Democrats watch Westerns, too
Jesse James was a fierce outlaw
But I am not cut out to be him
as the song says
But, yes, Democrats watch Westerns, too
He rode fast, he rode hard!
on his black mighty steed!
His sword wrought him fame toward...
helping those in dire need!....
He was deceivingly mistook for...
an outlaw and a thief!
but was only there to restore...
his peoples honor and relief!
The swift sword of Zorro...
his black horse, cape and mask!...
are forever.... tomorrow!
in legend to bask!
They call me cunning but Im only a kid
They call me stunning want to take a bid
I might gamble I might cheat
Lets just skip that beat
I've already confess
My one true purpose
That to gain not give
For I want to live
Slated as a outlaw
Accused as a thief
Why do i bear all this grief
Ha Ha many laugh but they are not true
Accused themselves and all there old world crew
"I recognized the rainbow
in the night when
you were waiting for
the sun to rise on the
dark side of the moon.
When I was a kid, the sun
would melt the pavement
on the way to school,
hot, shifting colors on
the slickened road.
And today the black pools
in the swamp said the
same thing: forbidden joy.
Morning is in the eyes
of your children and
the tiny roots are moving
into the soil.
