The Young Man of Nebraska
The Young Man of Nebraska

There was a young Man of Nebraska
Who rode an old Ass to Alaska
His quest was too bold
For he found it too cold

His Frozen Ass came back to Nebraska

A man from Nebraska, called Wayne,
Found speaking in public a strain.
He stammered and stuttered,
The audience muttered;
'A pain? You can say that again!' *

* pronunciation of again has two variations. I'm using the one rhyming with 'rain'
(audio link for 'again' - third pronunciation : https://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/again)

One of words, who draws, sings writes originate poems and songs
Brother of blinded Joseph Allen
Lover of Carmen co-parenting two girls and a boy
Who feels love for life, mankind, children
Who fears unknowns, physical pains and depressed humans
Who would like to see happiness with regrets
Open up blessings in praises

Premium Member White Mittens

Fog came early to Nebraska,
and slender churches became hidden.
Pastors came out of them with scarves,
their children tight-dressed
                       and with white mittens.

Cars moved slowly,
dipped beams constant; the radio turned on.
The fog came early - unawares.

Snow flurries will be here Friday.
Forty-seven degree high today.
Midwest United States – Nebraska, Kansas, Missouri,
No biggie. We have all seen worse.

Snow blizzard on Saturday,
Coming in from the East.
North Carolina, South Carolina, and Georgia are shaking.
No snow shovels, or plows or drains in those states.

Florida is hiding their alligators, so they will not freeze.
Different states in different states.

Premium Member A Rove Beetle Please
A rove beetle please, if you can
And bring back to the Nebraska land.
Let me devour juicy decaying matter.
I’ll run insanely fast with little chatter.
Reincarnation will be terrific for me.
Long and thin, a consumer I will be.
Chewing on flesh, enjoying every bite.
A rove beetle please. Now turn off the light.
Death rolled his eyes at my arrogance.
Sent me back to the middle of France.
Made me a human once again.
But this time did not give me a twin.

I watched a nail biter
Game tonight
Was Texas Longhorns
And Oklahoma Cowboys
Naturally you know who I was for
After three over times
The Cowboys won once more.

Go Cowboys Go

If you want to know
Who my favorites are
It depends on who is playing.

I am for Nebraska, K U and K state
Oklahoma Cowboys
But the Texsas Longhorns do rate.

It makes it tough when they
Play one another
I just throw a dart
Then hope for the other.

Go Big Red Go
