When Mad Mitch was feeling mucky
Donald Trump went to Kentucky
Trump's horrorscope said,
"You're still in the red
But right where some studs get lucky!"...

Route 66ish No 6

A young girl who hailed from Kentucky,
Was out-going, sweet and quite plucky,
When out on a date
With an old childhood mate,
She was miffed 'cos his boxers were mucky!!...

The Depths
A mucky puddle
still holds the reflected night.
Two maundering starlings
peck at the dark pool
as if fishing.
One worm wriggles up,
the birds don't seem inclined
to eat it
one bubble in the puddle
surfaces -
I sense a kraken....

Worms
Mummy says I shouldn’t eat juicy wiggly worms
She said that they are mucky and they’re full of nasty germs
I never take no notice though, and when she isn’t looking
I’ll eat some scrummy worms because, they’re better than her cooking...

Some pigeons pooped in the bottle garden Without as much as “I beg your pardon” Did loop the loop afore plopping their poop In the neck of the bottle with one swoop. It is clear that it does cometh to pass Bottle gardens become mucky morass For onto those bottles of flora, alas Pigeons ejectamenta en mass.

Mud season
yucky mucky

Hummingbird in flight
zig jig

A flock of robins
swinging singing

New grass
sprout shout

Flying butterfly
flutter putter

Chipmunks at feeders
seed greed

Lilac trees
blooms perfumes

A bright goldfinch
yellow fellow

Tree branches

Premium Member Hand Washing Conundrum
When our hands get mucky and covered in dirt We turn on a tap and give the soap pump a squirt So be sure to wash your hands thoroughly Removing all dirt and grime is the priority BUT… There is something that is puzzling me If we’ve washed our hands so fastidiously Then why do our hand towels get so dirty!!!!! 11-17-17

Just walking a path
through the woods...

Came upon
   soft sloppy mucky mud
   engulfing the path ahead
Offering no pity
for me in sandals.

As so be life
   randomly unaccommodating
dropping dilemmas
   with no clear alternatives
   with no regard
for how well-prepared
   one would be
   or, not...

Offering no pity
for anyone in sandals....

[Second go at ‘a poem in six lines’ contest]

When I get to heaven, if I should be so lucky
I’m gonna get some rubber boots and find a field that’s mucky
I’ll ask around to find out where the coolest folk hang out
Then I’d ask Elvis if he knows if Bowie is about
Once I’ve got his autograph, what’s next is best of all
I’m gonna organise an ‘All Time Greats’ pop festival...

Sense of Desire
Pedals fall from a night sky
whispering your name
angelic laughter, a child's weep
Showers of gold specks
lining the eyes, purity rebirth
Sunflowers aroma celestial fields
Nurtures God's misty dew,
mucky to the touch
Melons on the horizon,
Squelch for an oasis washed for the senses,
honeyed, sticky dessert
A tropical island, a coconut's medallion
Senses overload
Savor ribbons of fire, desire...

Home Again
Mucky boots as I walk the trail
Deep into woodland, it begins to hail
The tale of Autumn, a slight frost
Forgotten my gloves and counting the cost

All alone surrounded by trees
Got to keep moving before I freeze
Been walking for over two hours now
A distant call from a concerned cow

I see the light and familiar with the view
Feeling warm now but hands of blue
Over the gate and into the rain
No bother because I'm back home again...

Premium Member Card Counting Actor
A big Hollywood star decided to go to play some blackjack at a Las Vegas casino. The management did not like what was going on. Suspected of card counting, the actor was gone. This episode appeared in need of a reality check. How does one keep track of aces and tens in each deck? The scene presented itself to be unclear and quite mucky. Is it not permissible for patrons to get lucky? From a news story found on aol.com

Her

Her brainless has it all
Her blindness hinders all
Her selfishness has no bounds
Her ears listen only sounds
Her intelligence left on train
Her self-esteem washed by the rain
Her perception lies in shadow
Her greetings are shallow
Her mouth tight as a drum
Her benevolence, a crumb
Her jealousy you can touch
Her talent not too much
Her surroundings mucky
Her situation very lucky
He’s afraid of losing
So, she continues using.

Jaded Dreams
a strange dense fog
keeps consuming my mind
trapping me in a mucky bog
I can't seem to leave behind
      a thick sticky mist
      clings to my every dream
breath of the frog I kissed
      before he hopped down stream
an evil taunting fairy tale
haunts each sleeping hour
a romanticized version of hell
is beginning to devour
what lingers in my heart's core
      the last remaining sliver
      of all sweet hope for
      my happily ever after...

On Bynar Day
On bynar day,
A dumplin grey,
Come singing down the drove.
A merry tee,
Along a thee,
Tar mucky borogrove.

A dumplin grey,
He merry way,
A singing as he strode.
His song he sing,
A jolly ting,
Off home up he abode.

Large peeble be,
With eye they see,
Said dumplin marching on.
Off he go by,
They know not why,
Nor wonder where he gone.

Tread on he trod,
The daft ol' sod,
A tune upside his head.
This be all wrong,
He sing no song,
Cuz really he be dead.

And that's all there is to it....
