Notes About The Poem

Hand Washing Conundrum

When our hands get mucky and covered in dirt We turn on a tap and give the soap pump a squirt So be sure to wash your hands thoroughly Removing all dirt and grime is the priority BUT… There is something that is puzzling me If we’ve washed our hands so fastidiously Then why do our hand towels get so dirty!!!!! 11-17-17

I never have this problem, Jan, not because I don't wash thoroughly, but because I use black hand towels! Out of sight, out of mind, as Goethe said. My new poem I've written for you. Many thanks for your support. /M

Loving this one, Jan. A quick spritz and quicker rinse does not remove the dirt. And even if all that is done correctly, you have to touch the filthy door handle to get out!

I have no idea where the poems come from Agnes, I just get a silly idea in my head and I have to get it down, I thought of the sock poem when we were out walking yesterday:-) hugs jan xx

As one perpetually covered in cooking/bike grease, paint or hair dye you'd think I wouldn't wonder too ;) Am reminded of the ex and the new set of towels, he just had to use a new one for his freshly bleached head... d'oh! Enjoyed dear xomo!

Oh dear Mo, no wonder he's an 'ex' :-( Maybe all hand towels should be black and then we wouldn't see the muck lol:-) hugs jan xx

This is an intriguing question, wish I had an answer to that...we must not wash our hands good enough, so all our grime goes on the towel! I really enjoyed reading your funny write, you are surely the queen of hilarious poetry my friend! I'm glad I got to read this poem this morning! Great Work Jan!!
