A Cat and a Dog
A cat and a dog, marinated delight,
In a frying pan, they engaged in a fight,
Their sizzles did soar,
Mom kicked the pan, what a roar!
Dinner was ruined that unfortunate night!...

Mortal Pain Marianated
Make My Mortal Pain Mariniated

What a wonderful thing God had celebrated;
Before dawn thought about man and waited;
With men are cursed;
He then had a thirst,
Women made first with mortal pain marinated.

Recreational Legalized
Recreational Legalized

While looking at TV we soon realized,
Recreational marijuana was legalized;
We never hesitated;
Like ours marinated;
And also, hope it had been sanitized.

If it was down and dirty marijuana,
We had received a dirty deal.

For Life
My partner, the one I cherish
who keeps the
treasure of my soul
close to her own.
We breath the same air.
We have the same aspirations.
We cleave to uniform dreams.
Our desire equal
one to another.
I go where she does trod
as she doth me.
Two lives marinated into one
until time ends....

A slow death marinated.
In half-prayer and long goodbyes.
So much suffering on this cobblestone of lies.

To think it all began with a silky lullaby.
The Faries and unicorns soon drift from our lives.
Replaced by tarry intentions.
Oozing from cinderblock faces.
Bridges of hope undercut by trolls.
Silky dreams slip into eclipse.
The suns last breath kisses the necrosed lips of our nothingness....

Toxic Memory
They were teaching how to butcher
the lamb
and suspend the bines with
drooping hops.
I climbed out of my ashes towards
a marinated moon turned blue in consternation.

Warts and all, here we were ready
to pick up the lost threads to start
a conversation about the hurricane making
landfall, in near future.

After the fall, graffiti appeared on
the clouds, spurting sperms
on the stars.

A Native Lament
When we first saw Columbus struggling ashore,
we were mildly amused.

Later, more well marinated mariners
brought with them
garlic, olive oil and tomatoes,
all of which we had no use for -
the tomatoes gave us acid reflux.

When they offered to feed us
an ugly and bitter edible
they called ‘broccoli,’
we knew
that we had to make war upon them.

No use!

In the end, we were defeated;
their garlic breath was too strong,
their pizza pie way too delicious.

Senseless
You leave me no choice
You grant me no chance
You won’t hear my voice
I’ll cease to advance

You’ve made up your mind
Marinated in rage
But you left me behind
When you turned the page

How could I know
I would never have guessed
On my way, I would go
You still couldn’t rest

So speak up next time
When I drive you so mad
I see views that aren’t mine
A chat will be had

We’ll move on, together
Releasing offenses
Understanding much better
This tension is senseless...

Premium Member Marinated, Dude
Are you in the mood
  for a poem about food
Something marinated, dude
  or grilled, barbequed

     Tangentially:

Have you ever viewed
  a painting in the nude
Meaning (if you're shrewd)
  that you are no prude...

And would you ever collude
  or possibly intrude --
wade into a family feud
  a cesspool of moral turpitude

     Back-on-Track:

Is your gastromo-palate imbued
  with delights that include
a smorgasboard of seafood
  dainty caviar, finger-lickin'-good...
