There once was a creature from space
Who entered a marathon race.
With six feet a side,
And shoes tightly tied,
The two-leggers couldn't keep pace.
Blisters from shoes, hampered his speed
Banters from foes, sauntered to bleed
Ran barefooted, marathon booted
Ethiopia on his feet, milestone in feat.
Why do these girls run, why? tell me
Why are they running the marathon?
All deserve a gold medal, all of them
I have tears in my eyes when I see them.

Roses decorated her eyes, she was full of grace
Perhaps she was a faerie who had lost her place.
