Mandarin Collar
It always makes me pain.
My mother’s scissors.
It’s an either-or situation
She cuts my old photos up into small pieces,
Or stir you into the mixture.
Whether or not it’s true
How could it interpret
These actions as love
Or the other kind of concession...

Our Mandarin Universe
The edges of an eclipsed
sun give birth in broken
shocks of light
to day love and life

We lift ourselves
to yawning
blades of grass near
an ocherous tree
raised by the mountains
beside us

Into an infinity
of yes as our
wings fall away
in the ultimate flight
immersed in the
syrup of our
mandarin universe

Come with me to my Shangri-La
      My satin, azure, kimono
floating in soft waves across the
      floor

Don' t hesitate for a second
      You'll find majestic delights herein
      Jasmine tea, and mandarin, me
Our yet to be Shangri-La ecstasy

Premium Member End of Alphabet Shenanigans
here becomes there if one adds a T
and where when one adds a W
and zher, which is ‘here’ in Mandarin
if one removes an E and adds a Z
which rhymes with V
though some pronounce it Zed
which rhymes with Ted
which brings us back to T
almost nothing rhymes with W
but I really want to do U
and make S rhyme with X
and you know Y.

Premium Member Can Campy Canines Cajole Cats
Can campy cavorting canines cajole curious cats?
Bickering birdbrains boast between bogeyman’s bats….
Honorably heavenly heifers heighten historical hats,
Manageable Mandarin manatees make moody Michigan maps.
Neutralizing Nebraskans needing normal noontime naps.
Flamboyantly flipping fleshy flannel flea-flipping flatfish flaps.
Can campy cavorting canines cajole curious cats?...

A Cutie Heart
A mandarin heart

Small and stronger

Breathing in muscles

Protected by bone

It's the believing heart

That fights stronger to her knees those dreary days

When the moon is just a fear

When the ship wishes to hide from those eerie seas

A heart so sweet with little sourness

Just enough to deal with the segments of life

It's the mountain of hope that keeps the beat dancing

It's the journeys unknown that broadens the shoulders intuitively

Revise
Do you out there in the darkness revise your work?
I usually do
Rhyme once rules
Not in these days
Some prefer the old style of poetry
Some enjoy modern work
Some like poetry of their ethnic group
Like some like novels of their ethnic group
I have read work of other ethnic groups
Or not?
I know some Hebrew, a few phrases in Mandarin
and a liitle Spanish
Do poets writing in these languages revise or rhyme?
Some probably do - some don't
Make up your own mind about that poets!...
