The Duck In the Pharmacy
Once there was a pharmacist in Brazil
Visited by a duck standing very still
He shook his head
When the duck said,
"Give me some lip gloss and put it on my bill"...

Bite.
Stone apples
painted green granite
lip gloss lips to kiss them
frozen smiles bitten

Red breath
from a lover's listen
Stone apples
wondering what is missing......

As Her Shadow Catches Peripheral
a head that could not resist the turn
as eyelash lifts to reveal its joy
and from that squinted smirk of broken lip gloss
Time twisting one leg behind the other
ushers to continue
the promise only she
could keep...

Pretty Orchids
Delicate butterfly orchids
stand paper thin and tall
Perfect pout pink lip-gloss kisses
with proud protruding power jewel centre
Ephemeral Angels
sign of life and hope
renewed strength and passion
Powerfully poised petals
gently nod affectionate ‘I love yous’
long since they were given as gift
bringing forth renewed romantic setting
an idealistic reminder every day...

Beauty
Oh! the wrong makeup
and the clumsy hair,
Not the mismatched sandals,
Just mind what you wear.

Going for a party or just a walk,
the lip gloss is sure to shine.
No matter how filthy you are,
your perfume will make you fine.

These are "apparent beautiful people".
For those who lack beauty in eyes,
Please make sure to give a compliment,
Only then will you "look wise".

I light a candle and in its flutter
open envelopes,
each one holds a piece of your past

I make old stories fly.

A child's ringlets
bounce in a mirror
new shoes skip
ten to two
eleven
three

Lip-gloss, eye-liner, braided hair
strapless dress, stilettos
brisk kisses in low-lit alleys.

Recorded memories
for your eager ears
And I see your freedom dance
in a last flicker.

Picture Perfect
I sunk my teeth in
And chomped loudly
I pulled away
juice dribbling down my chin

My macintosh apple
Red as a rose
Sweet as sugar
Juicy like an orange
Shiny like lip gloss
Deformed like a blob
Crunched like chips
Perfect as a picture
Tasted like Heaven

My perfect little apple
Reminds me of the
Great things our planet
Has to offer...
Just like our own little Heaven
We just have to look a little harder...

Painted Truths A Makeup Story
She wakes, bare as morning light,
A face unframed, soft in sight.
Mascara lifts, lashes rise,
Eyeliner sharpens her guarded eyes.

Blusher blooms, cheeks come alive,
Contours shape what can’t survive.
Lip gloss glistens, a coy disguise
Her beauty speaks, but never lies.

By night, the mask dissolves away,
Each streak of cleanser blurs the day.
The mirror holds her rawest view
Which face is hers? Which one is true?...

Disguise
The frown that is hidden beneath that smile can never be revealed.
Rosy pink lip gloss concealed the bruised lips or ego.
Concealer, Face Powder, Eye shadow mask the TRUE self.

Matching outfits and shoes galore,
Purses, Hand-bags... The latest fashion trends help to give a false sense of accomplishment.

Money in the bank... check
House on the hill... check
A SUV or a CRV or a PRADA OR a BENZ... check
But where is happiness?...

Kiss For Life..
Kiss for Life..

Hypnotized eyes
Quivering In my insides.
Luscious lips, soft tenderness.
Lip gloss, the right tastefulness.

Our tongues was churning just right.
Sending numbness of pleasure with great vibes.

My body felt like it wanted to melt.
I held her tight below her belt.

That was the greatest kiss I ever had.
It drove me crazy wildly mad.

That woman is now my wife.
I do plan on keeping her, for life....

Premium Member Beautiful
Barely a glance she makes at the oval mirror.
Everyday she's the same, so why even bother?
A dab of sweet perfume is all she needs.
Unnatural coloring will never grace her hair,
Those sparkling eyes cannot be enhanced by mascara.
It is only a natural blush that touches her face.
Finally, a simple piece of jewelry will do, nothing more.
Underneath her skin lies true beauty to behold.
Lip gloss could not brighten that still confident smile....

Premium Member Kisses Wanted
Kisses wanted rain or snow
Lip gloss readied for entice
Yes my eyes are all aglow
Yes I feel it, very nice!

Subtle as a fragrant rose
Soft as velvet yes they are
Poets always speak in prose
Lovers never stand that far

Kiss me sweet and kiss me good
All is fair in love and war
Make my toes curl as they should
Love me like an open door

Kisses wanted rain or shine,
Kiss me sweetheart yes, be mine.

Hummingbirds
From the wrought iron gables
the oblong hummingbird feeder dangles
shiny plastic, strawberry lip-gloss red.
It sways above my grandmother’s head
as she watches their vibrating wings.

She rests at the kitchen sink,
puts down her dishtowel, and smiles.
I want to ask if she is tired of housewifely trials,
but the cat leaps to the window, hissing,
waking my grandmother from her reminiscing.

She goes back to the dirty dishes, alone;
silence is the new partner in her half-empty home....
