Rented Beds
In piss-stained linens
and rented beds
they lay.

Grasping straws
of forgotten places
in time.

Begging the touch
of a spouse
long dead....

L
love lays...
liquid lunar light
licking lips, lobes, languid limbs
lovemaking, loosening linens
loving looks
leisurely liaison
lingering, lyrical lovesong
love's lullaby...

I Let You In
the chair assumes its responsibility
the edge of my vision has another idea
red drops of love sweep across the table
significant shapes creep into the linens
the door began to unhinge
and the windows clamor at your approach...

Restless
Beneath the veil of night
Restless limbs lay tangled
Amongst her linens and her doubts
Sun kissed skin, remembering him
Her fingers gently trace
The faintest whisper of his touch
Soft upon her breath, his name
She must learn to say goodbye...

No Prisoners
terrible vacancies
reside in our body cellulose
millions of foot paces
resettle at the starting post

the soul under cool linens
dissolves in it's own acids
awaken white worlds
from their shadowy coma
the 1939-1945 war never ends
and takes no prisoners...

Surreptitious Breaths
Silken linens scented of

  last night's rendezvous,

     still wafting midst

         reticent moments,

cognac and aromatic

   candlelight burning 'neath

      surreptitious breaths,

  as we unfurled

     sultry seduction's poetry

              'tween clandestine shadows...

Premium Member Purrs of a Poetess
The bed is ready with fresh
linens
All smell like fresh lavender.
The fluffy pillows and laced blue
coverlet,
Makes this poetess say goodnight
and like a cat does P-U-R-R!

Dreams of princes and castles spin her
fast away.
Into a magic land, where unicorns frolic
and play!

Premium Member You and me
You salted my worth
With so many senses
Love and harmony so divine
Intervention and open fences
And yet I search
This world of souls
Completion of doubt
To make me whole
As if shopping
For linens and things
Diamonds and alexandrite
Romantic gold rings
But no material
Can replace you
My love my soul

Summer Love
Summer Love
Shores draped in white sand linens; beaches beckon, "Lovers come lay."
Salt perfume, ocean music, moonlit waters their embeance.
Treasuring star framed reflections, waves of passion.... Summer love.

Lost In a Moment
Rippling linens lay wrapped round lingering caressess.
Silient eutopia surpressed in euphoric sighs
Hands hastily hunger as cotton undresses.
Fingertips finesse forthcoming sighs,as the linens rise.
Bodies intertwine, beautiful boquets of brown curls fall apart.
Gently on the linen they lay. Then rise as hands draw closer beating hearts....

Down among the linens
Stealing between
Downy feathers

Colored, crumpled, confused

     Pictures...
          Float....
              By.

Some better days
( nightmares too)
     Sweet perfume of summer night
Rolls forth from times long forgot

 Quietly I lay,
And let my dream seeds
Scatter in the wind

      ...To bloom....

What Would a Table Say
What would a table say
     If a table could talk

Would it speak of silk linens
    Quiet dinners for two
Of romance and candles
     Fine china of blue

Would it spin tales of sorrow
     Of bills left unpaid
Of not enough food
     Of prayers left unprayed

I think of all that
      I think as I walk
What would a table say
     If a table could talk...

Premium Member Good Morning, Sleepyface
Sound the trumpets
Whispers of lotus flowers
Hot anger trapped in pantries
Shows, shows, shows, and buttons
Making space for eyes
On the return, on the return,
I'll be grateful on the return.

Shot-to-hell oven lights
Borrowing from the borrowers
New linens from fresh tears
Good morning, Sleepyface
You turn gutters into cathedrals
On the return, on the return,
See I'm grateful on the return....

Passion Sings
Passion Sings Passion sings on blue note pillows, down filled ecstasy in satin linens Stealing midnight in each others arms, falling satisfied past lilac dreams and calla lily shadows Floating above slumbering affection of two hearts made for each other Peacefully awaiting that first kiss of the new day when passion will serenade us once again Good night Soupers

You my undying lover
Are a marvel to behold
No life without you
Our story is untold
Long ago and faraway
Lonely souls met
For hunger and pleasure
The stage was set
Reclusive cabin on
A mountain top
Silk linens dark curtains
Sex that didn’t stop
Skinny dipping
In the pond
Such pleasure
All night long
To breathe of you
Again my soul
Would fill my need
Entwined as a whole

Curtains did not
Open for days

Carry Us Home
We stood at the edge of contemplation
watching through the window to the world
but not ever knowing where we stare

We fathom the scale of injustice
weighing heavily on ordinary minds
where ordinary is atypical
and creativity is pushed
back into the recesses of time

Awaken with me in yesterday's linens
our dramatic interpretation of life's song
dispell rumors of ruins in waiting
and let your sensuous tune carry us home...

At The Footbridge

Two Armies

One shoots off another salvo
The other fires back with gusto
Each offended
At the aggression of the other

At the footbridge
Foot soldiers die
In agony you hear them all bloodied, cry
War is a must and you wonder why?

Kings collect gold
Queens their ladies in waiting
Castles must be filled
With linens and fine silver laden

All with justifications
For the death of serfs and those of the invasion...

The color white, is it truly without shadow's tint?
Is there a hue within that to a bird's eye gives a hint?
And since the realms of Space are said to be black,
Are the white linens of Earth just a terrestial fact?

Why do the Arctic's snows hurt and bruise eyes' gentle orbs?
And why does pure white reflect that which eager black absorbs?
But contrasts of the two defines our abstracted sight,
To be amazed by a white cloud and in awe of black night....

Thou Droning Whoreson Baggage
Thy wart-encrusted maw compellingly
constitutes a convalescant contrast
of pulchritude, most evident in earnest
and effervescent cockcrow light,

a visage matched by the craven beige
mundanity of oneself's soiled linens
which thou art so unpleasingly
plastered against, decumbent
and dishabille

the illusion of chivalry
persists into mid-morning, slightly
ante-bruncheon, climaxing
with a most unpunctilious proclamation:

Thou droning whoreson baggage!...

Ink Tells a Tale
Auburn locks drape shoulder haphazardly

Spread upon your sack

An unobtrusive vantage

You bear no covering and are at ease

Linens scattered all about you

Neither rhyme nor reason and amidst no burden

How it baffles me

How you perform on the inner

Yet it’s your shell which vexes most unexpectedly

Your skin adorned with ink

Ink I wield to tell a tale

We, one and the other, reveal our sagas employing ink

My branded Princess

Ritual Unique
To a learned philosopher
Or to a logical thinker
The gesture of this lone lady
Wrapping linens around this tree
Might look like a modern madness
Or drabness rooted on slackness...
Only one with a heart love-filled
Could feel her longing unfulfilled
Bearing children; rearing gladly
Owing barrenness, stilled sadly
She, hence, prays to this banyan tree
Age-old sign of fertility
To make her life absolute whole
And fill with gladness, her sad soul…

Old Green Bottle
Get drunk oh bottle
dance through the market Square
Covering your shame with linens of lies
a repulse and comic act
While easing into the saucer

Get drunk oh bottle
beat ember of tired flames
igniting the lost lot
forging the the obsidian ring
With time no longer finite

Get drunk oh bottle
gather your clay
mould your way
through life pottery
It will neither roughen
nor toughen
enjoy your created path
For only in a day's dream
do men's folly come through...
