There once was a zombie named Daisy
Who thought eating brains was quite crazy
She slacked on the job
Was labelled a slob
Then outcast for being so lazy...

Daisy's Diagnosis
Lackadaisical Daisy thought she was always cursed,
alway's sneezing every single day since her birth,
around jobs she would linger,
never ever lifting a finger,
doctors diagnose was that she's allergic to work!...

Listless as a slug, he
  lowered his standards, as
    lazy habits lingered.
      Leaving a good job, his
    life languished. With such a
  lax demeanor, a whole
lot of time was wasted.

Reasoning
methodical thinking...
without blinking...
foraging ahead....
to keep from sinking...
assailing the senses...
malodorous quenching...
tumultuous thoughts...
that are heart-wrenching
lackadaisical reasoning...
nonchalant greetings...
that carry through...
with perceptive reasoning......

Lying upon the couch
Listlessly unmoving
Lethargic and sluggish
Like a sun-drugged lizard
Lacking the will to budge
Light hurts his heavy eyes
Liqueur played tricks on him.

Lackadaisical Effort
out of sheer laziness
put forth an
inactive un-energetic
automatic pilot
approach at change
attampted thoughtless
activities involving little or no
for thought what so ever
putting forth a half-ass
lackadaisical effort at
rewiring negative self-talk
patterns of thought that exists...

My Pen
Tell me what you want
And tell the world what you mean.
I've learned to speak
And shut my mouth
Simultaneously,
For a pen in hand
Is an expendable and honest friend
Much like the compromise
Of my will alone.
I love illusive contexts
And palpable persuasions
That permeate my little
Lackadaisical lust bomb....

Dizziness Is Lackadaisical
Dizziness is lackadaisical
Like my body on the floor
I’ve moved beyond the tangible
So I’ve risen on this divided line
Held up by ropes
That used to hold my throat
But you can’t see them
For your eyes cannot grasp
The idea of strings from nowhere
Well
I am from nowhere
And nothing
And no one
So just let go of me...

Define Death Please
"What is death to a man
But to have his life ended?"

Please.
Don't be so lackadaisical.
Death to a man
Is the man's paradise.
Where the pain that construed
him
Nurtured him
And taught him how to live
In a lifeless realm,
Is ripped from his soul.
So that even through
inexistence
-The downright lack of mind and
self-
Is cause to live....

Lackadaisical
Transcendental dreams on torrid currents
Sing to sleep the slow-dimming day.
My earth shatters mote by mote,
Each crumb of life more faded.

Burst up, bloom out, REACH
The world awaits
A moment of succumbing passion.
Be more than you have been.

Suck in the sweet nectar of each
Passing Moment
Shine with glimmering reflected
Light

You only have one....

Listen to poem:
He dabbles in this, dips his toes in that
Dithering with daubs, splattering dollops and spatters
Dilly-dallying, loitering lazily lackadaisical
Unable or unwilling to commit.
Half-hearted efforts lie half-baked, unfinished
Laying listless, languidly lolling and littering.
It's so annoying to see time wasted and fortuity fraught
But what can anyone watching do?...

Lackadaisical loose words they just slip
between the cracks of a devious phrase;
Low voice gives away such a careless quip
echoing with the error of your ways;
Faulty is the way things are nowadays
I will never fall victim to your game,
my full mouth will never utter your name;
Anything you claim is just false pretense;
We have never been and are not the same,
please do not try to translate my silence....

Depression
Deep inner turmoil rising in layers of morose fog
Eternally she seems to scream putrid nothings
Put your mind to rest in somnambulist serenity
Reaching forever to only waylay breath
Efface my eyes does she of beatific maudlin
Sallow spirit filled with lackadaisical laughter
She steals away grins and gifts glower
Inane is the patron of life she echoes
Onerous is this bombination of melancholy
Needless are we the companions of she...

Premium Member Lackadaisically Lackluster
Listen to poem:
You lack what I have.
You can't have it back,
because your lack is my gain.
Lacks define your success.
The less you have the better.
But, a life with too many lacks is lackluster,
a life spent lolling and loitering
    is lackadaisical bliss.
It is a half-hearted half-life, ruined by deficiencies.
So count your lacks, one by one
    and get rid of them.
Be fulfilled as you fill your lacks,
    like a dentist fills cavities....
