If what’s broken has on us a jarring effect ~
Why do we expect God to condone soul’s defect

koel’s song
so soothing
uplifts heart

the crow’s caw
so jarring
but why so

does contrast
not enhance
soul’s stirrings

Pain
PAIN may be the jarring of fingernails across the whiteboard on which your life is penned; but what it achieves is to fully draw attention to your song.

Just when it's set to meld
Jumble shake makes trouble
Jingle crescendo clangs
Jangle bangle rattles
Junking love's blind assent
Jarring discordant doubts
Jostles our hands apart...

Mood
Angels bright call dangerously,
Eventually fulfilling grave harrowing ideas.
Jarring kindness lies masking now,
Otherworldly persons quietly respond.
Silent turmoil underneath volatile waters,
Xes your zest....

Jubilee
Jubilee

Joyful shouts we proclaim!
Jarring cries of freedom's
Jurisdiction by God,
JUMP from every lip
Jailed...in debt...and in slave!
JUBILEE is here! And
Judgement...is forgiven!

Jarring chill from winter’s day
A flush of cheeks, an icy nose
Nature covers a white blanket
Upon a shivering country road.
As days shorten, night descends
Releasing a host of brilliant stars
Yet another year anew begins.

a jarring note intruded
taunting staid silence
contemplation interrupted
lower mind surfaced
resulting in mental violence

noticing the tremors
horn of love was sounded
bliss mists pervaded the air
there was no need to react
sounds of silence resounded...

I dreamt of you
And a thousand thoughts
Came searing

It's been some time
But this madness persists
And it's jarring

A one-sided delusion
With pangs of pain
At your intrusion

Too tempted to regret
Yet with all my strength
I would rather forget...

First of September
First of September

It is oppressively hot it as summer
refuses to leave the stage and is overacting badly,
to be a walk-on actor or a decoration in play
about summer, it is jarring.
We applaud, but we are tired of the monologue now
It is a time for the lesser actors...

The Frogs
In the space between wall and door
The frogs grin
Paper death masks and spindly, clutching fingers
Jarring trespassers with their menacing absurdity

On the doorstep
The verge of confession, keyhole whispers
I stroke the tiny corpses
Defiance taut against my fingertips

I shall never die...

Jarring
Jarring to spine,
normally ears carry it just to brain,
here the rotten voice music grain,
had climbed down,
and chilled even the spine,
it was concert,
organized perhaps in concert,
to promote a dud,
not caring that,
not even single audience would be alive,
by the time it was over,
most would have fainted or dead....

J'aime la vie…I love life, with all that it brings
Alleviating the jarring pain of potholed roads
Labour uphill, thankful for easy descents,
Observe the rules, most watchful for red lights
Plagued at times by ailments, wear and tear
Yet, like a defiant aging car, I chug on and on.

On the Sharp Side
On the sharp side of a raindrop
I felt the ice as I fell through
The deceiving of a cloud top
On the sharp side

Not fragile in the midst of blue
This toiling hailstorm workshop
A sudden jarring breath I drew

Yet places I would never swap
Plunging toward the earth, I knew
It’s not here me or rain will stop
On the sharp side...

Premium Member Earthquake
Awakened from sleep by a loud, jarring rumble
Shaken, confused, as the earth moved beneath
As I leapt from my bed, I stumbled and tumbled
And so frightened and numb, I was white as a sheet
While the clash and the clatter of everything crumbled
I escaped, not willing to meet death's defeat.

Hawk
A high-pitched screech announces
That the hawk is close at hand.
Whatever he is saying,
Other hawks must understand.

For me, I'm satisfied to hear
That plaintive, jarring screech,
Despite the fact its meaning,
For a human's, out of reach.

No matter if he's circling
Or swooping to a tree,
His neighborly communication's
Good enough for me....

We navigate around most pot holes
but they tend to grow in number.
Time and again jarring the heart... but we move on.
Losing a few pieces of soul but we must roll along.
Then we taste a patch of smoothness
the heart is seduced and soothed.
Until the potholes turn vicious and break us..

In the rear-view mirror,
I see Jesus in Carhart overalls...
filling in the pits....

Cacophony
Breaking, bashing, creaking, crashing
Pandemonic pounding pain
Reverberating bone to brain
Slamming, smashing, thrumming, thrashing
Mechanical chaotic grate
Echoing; can't concentrate

Scraping, scarring, jangling jarring
Bastard, broken beat becomes
Endless, dreadful demon drums
Maiming, marring, ringing, roaring
Blaring banging babel beats
Repeats, repeats, repeats, repeats...

Summers Fault
It was like homecoming of
timber rattle snake.
A bit jarring.

Signs were acquitted,
when the summer becomes
sensuous at dusk.

I start collecting the colors
from sky. The night was
moving behind the moon-

like a concubine, in black
skirt. Amidst the gray clouds
a green man was laughing.

The death’s translation
was simple. Nobody will
attend the funeral of sun.

The Shedding of Skin
The Shedding of Skin.

Parched lullabies seem jarring,
gentle persuasion an assault,
quiet understanding reeking of decay,
fatigued under this skin in which I must stay.

Dreams of moulting,
shedding the hubris of crafty words,
flushing away all famished rhymes,
ripping the fibres of an ink-stained past.

Knowing.

Always knowing,

that honey-soaked kisses, seem destined,
breathlessly,
never to last....
