Imps To Tame
Intelligence in curly frame,
What’s going on inside your head?
Sweet thoughts are calm and worries fed,
Boring not to have imps to tame?...

The Social Ladder
Avarice breeds contempt,
disrupting equilibrium.

Forgotten graces; haughty imps jubilate,
keenly listening, memorializing news
of people quietly receding.

Slippery transgressions ultimately vanquish wiles.

X-out yawning Zacchaeus....

Angels and Devils
Forgotten angels weep and mutter,
For unfortunate devils romping on earth…
With ragged wings, and tear soaked feathers,
Forgotten angels weep and mutter.
Peering down upon imps, guardian hearts aflutter
--Glass strings break, the heavens are no longer heard.
Forgotten angels weep and mutter,
For unfortunate devils romping on earth…...

Premium Member lord of the catnip rings
Lord of the Catnip Rings from Land of Ice
Had a way about him that brought in mice
They ran toward him not once, but twice
Silly Silly Silly non-thinking, idiotic Mice!

There was a way they had about themselves
Known to brownies, faeries, imps and elves.
They jumped to Lord of the Rings from shelves
Silly mice, living where the crazy rodent dwells....

playing hide and seek

Premium Member I Will Die Eagerly
I will die eagerly,
ready to go,
surrounded by neons
faeries, elves, imps

I will die happily,
in my own way
lying next to my garden
surrounded by orbs

I will die gracefully,
gladly and fully ready
adoring the heavenly
ancestors who come fetch me.

I will die with a smile
remembering my phenomenal
fantastic make believe world
my family, and my friends....

Premium Member Zebras
Hear the zebras roaring?
  In the forest shadows,
  Deep into the night.
  Dancing on black stripes,
  Across the moonlight.

  Little imps and urchins,
  Falling over roons.
When the zebras are a roaring,
They shake the mountains on the moon.

  When I walk with zebras,
  Among the thundering herd.
  I can't hear you calling,
Masked hoof beats cover every word....

No Adjectives

No adjectives graced skies of dawn
No crimson, mauve or bronze
Only blankets of fog akin to gloom
Blocking sunlight, singing runes.

Winds on gusts rose up in westerlies
Breath like brooms sweep skies majestically
Danced as a smile – heaven cheering -
Mischief on wings – imps twirl in clearings

Premium Member Halloween Hoopla
Platoons of imps march up and down my street,

Threatening mayhem if I don't give them a treat!

There are cowboys, Indians and phantoms galore,

Holding me hostage at my own front door!

They present their goodie bags for me to fill;

(Giving them an apple doesn't at all thrill).

Sure, they'd prefer a Reese's or Snickers treat,

But, by jove, I'm keeping them for me to eat!...

Premium Member Mine Is a Mystical Garden
Mine is a mystical garden
Sassy marigolds and violets
Red cornflowers spreading their seeds,
Monarchs, wasps and bees reside here.
Pretty hums come from my garden,
Dainty pink and purple petals
Magical faeries, imps and elves,
Bossy daffodils call the shots,
Roses laugh knowingly at this
Mine is a magical garden

Premium Member Trick Or Treat
Spooks ring my doorbell

Scare me out of my britches

      I bribe them with treats

Imps come by the gross

They get tons of bubble gum

      I keep the Snickers

I'm threatened with tricks

My cat bares his fangs at them

      He likes Snickers too

Dark trees, ferns, sweet with seasons showers pace.
Winking sunlight through pines greenness embrace.
Dew pearls embroidered flowers autumn's grace,
Becoming earths choral flute twirl and lace.
Onlookers, sunny laughter fairies face,
Glean upon the blooms rich entrancing place.
Silliness of Fauns magic dance through space.
Forest snide imps while day lasts, quick retrace.
Nesting birds departing and upward chase.

Premium Member Forest Antler Ghost of the Oaks
Upon arrival Forest Antler Ghost of the Oaks shook the leaves
She tweaked some of the mosses, so they were a bit springier
She gave love to the woodland violets and mushrooms
The north wind and the oaks always sensed her arrival.
They spruced themselves up a bit; the faeries were unsure
They felt something but were not able to fully see her.
The elves brownies and forest imps figured it out first,
mayhap due to their close affinity with woods....

Country Patio
The serenade
of dancing chimes,
echoes in the breeze
of July.
From a distance,
linger the carols:
of kookaburras
and gentledrones.

In the meadows paved
of callow blossoms,
bunnies canter
like summer snowballs.
Flutterbies woo
each crimson leaf,
sneaking pollens in pockets
like naughty imps.

“Ah, this is the life.”
I manage to say,
as my lips experience
earl grey.
With that, I perch
on the wicker chair,
and savor the wedding
of cinnamon and pears....
