THE WISE

On his knees the wise
The divine implored
Not
Immortality him to grand
For
Unbearable he found
Witnessing eternally
The suffering of Man!

But a Beggar

You see a wall,
where I see a door

You are imprisoned,
I am implored

You spend your fortune
on relics that burn

I, but a beggar
—last verse heaven earned

the cleansing tears of stratus sky
the silver tress as death draws nigh
she implored her loves that cry
to not regret ~ do not lament
for all her days were heaven sent...

The wise man

On his knees the divine implored

Not to grant him immortality

For

To witness eternally the suffering

Premium Member Parson Ezra Heap

Once there was a parson named Ezra Heap

Whose Sunday sermons were profoundly deep

      The louder Ezra implored

         The more his congregants snored

He could never arouse them from their sleep

My Fantasy

Mother, father
Sister, brother
Screaming, fighting
Yelling, biting

My pain is ignored
My tears aren't implored
My life is a loss
No one is my boss

I stay in my place
Not wanting to face
The fantasy I've known
Just to be left alone

Premium Member Imploring Time

The mighty Time, I once implored

More hours to each day to add

For

I wish myriads of minutes to enjoy

Holding you in my arms, my love!

Premium Member Far Into the Night

a neighbor’s water hose sent
a roaring rapid down the sidewalk curb

our popsicle sticks navigated
through the rocks and raging current

street lights with ominous hue
implored our curfew

we ambled along cheering
those popsicle sticks on
far, far, far into the night

Living with Hope

Gracious companion - colleague and guest;
 Sent in a new light - in darkness implored;
Troubles and toils given their rest;
Sunlight and sight tint optimism restored.

The Hunter's Party (Naga-Uta Lyric Form)

Nearing river’s edge;
My thoughts began to wander,
	As brooding clouds formed --
       In a once indigo sky,
           There the hunter stood…
Yes, the archer and his hounds
	Readying his bow
He implored twins Gemini
“Chase the bull ‘cross Milky Way“…

A Girl On the Road

She was on the road
When they allure,
Seeing her alone

They were four
She tried to ignore,as they felt bore
She warn,i m not whore

Then,she implored
But they shut the door
Said once more

She lied on the floor
Yelling for help
They were as drunk as a lord
At the end ...she had to pulled the cord.

I Should Not Stop For Death, But

I sould not stop for Death—Impatience—
Spurred my footsteps on—
His carriage lingered at the gate—
But I had long since gone—
--
The daisies whispered at my heels—
The wind implored me stay—
Yet Time unbuttoned from my grasp—
And swept the road away—
--
I met the dawn with breathless haste—
Too swift to turn—too late—

The worst of all:
the nestled dream.
Escape the first
with stifled scream,
but all is not
restored, it seems...
You try to flail
or move about,
but none can hear
you thrash and shout.
At last, you find
an exit door;
your thoughts of sleep?
Not anymore...
With one eye fixed,
the gods implored
to stay awake
but as before,
the cycle loops;
you start to snore!

Premium Member Why So Much

With tears in my eyes,

The wise man I implored, to tell me why

So much evil in the world

Existed,

“Alas,

into the dark chambers of your heart,

the answer you will find.”

Replied he, with a sigh!

Premium Member She Never Said Which Bathroom

Shelly had been talked into marrying this guy.
He had money and would take care of her.
She got more nervous as the big day came near.
Money is not love, money is only, well, money.

Her parents kept reiterating how marvelous this wedding was.
They had dollar signs in their eyes which implored her to run.
Shelly excused herself to go to the bathroom.
She never said which bathroom.

Far Away and Back Again

Now is the time
To run away to a far away place
Where I never knew
Her or who She is
And the final cut will tell
It's not on me
But across her neck
She's brought me to Hell and back
I pathetically pleaded
Implored, beseeched, and begged
Now it's her turn
For her life she cries
And for her sins I'll die
I've run away
To a far away place
Where Ill never feel
And He welcomes me with open arms

Thanksgiving Joy Ride

Thanksgiving turkey bought at the store
Wow! Twenty-five pounds - maybe more!
Ran out of stuffing
There's no overstuffing!
Pleas for open market implored.

Fully stuffed turkey seen through oven door
Ready to carve - aromas galore!
Platter gets tipped!
Turkey gets flipped!
Bird takes a joy ride on the floor.

Premium Member Violence

Violence

Lives on
With rapid-fire multipliers in
The tales of two cities which are
Now in our frightening focus..
As divisiveness thrives
In a numbing atmosphere
Plurality declares independence
Here and then there and then often..
We are exploring dark extremities
No longer serving as creative
Expressions of our Whole..
Recognition of our veering
Means of expressing ourselves
Is sharply implored...

Premium Member Homeless

Homeless
When the father's heart ceased to beat
From despair Mom could not retreat
Family's savings quickly deplete
A barren table, naught to eat
Soon no carpet ‘neath children’s feet
And every stranger on the street
Is implored their needs to meet
Some walk past, fail to greet
Others stop and offer treats
A bit of meat, a shred of wheat
To those who linger on the streets
Homeless

He Said

I said, ' Oh how I hurt'
He said ' Nothing'
I said ' I am in so much pain'
He said ' Nothing

I cried ' I can't stand any more
Please, I implored
Please help me lord
But still, Nothing

I said, 'I 've lost my child
It's just not fair
Lord ,where are you
Dont you care

Then he said

I lost mine too
I cried just like you
And no i'ts not fair
But yes 'I do care

I said 'lord I still hurt
He said,
So do I.

Premium Member Released by a Memory

For the millionth time I implored
the memory that I adored,
the only girl for me,
"I'll love you as long as I'm alive,
but, alas, how can I survive,
as you, from me, your love, deprive?
My love is all for thee."

For the first time, it gently spoke,
memory's ghost to a heart that broke,
"Listen close to me.
No one else can from you, deprive.
Your true love is within, alive.
It's time for it to grow and thrive."
And thus, it set me free.

Premium Member Life's Mysteries

On my knees,

Mighty life I implored with all the force of my soul

For

To reveal to me its so many wondrous mysteries!

"Alas,

No mortal would ever be allowed all of my mysteries to know,

until the moment ready is he to enter the dominion of Hades*."

Life enigmatically replied.
