Gracious companion - colleague and guest;
 Sent in a new light - in darkness implored;
Troubles and toils given their rest;
 Sunlight and sight tint optimism restored.

I like the balance and counterbalance of wording that begins each line. Quite a unique a device. Nice gem you've penned here. True enough, there's always "hope".
