I hollered hello - curiously the mountain echoed goodbye!

Overlooked Tradition

Deprived pilgrim wives ruminated
On ways to get hubbies elated:
After Thanksgiving chow
Ogling men hollered “wow!”
As wet-shirted women they rated.

Cupid and the Saint

“Hey Cupid, hollered the Saint,
bringing me couples, ya ain’t!”
	Cupid answered, “So what?
Ya just get what ya got.
Don’t mix prayer with complaint.”

Mysterious Way

The wind blew with howling excess
That lifted our pastor’s wife’s dress.
The flock saw her thong
And he hollered “wrong!”
Then lowered her skirt with finesse.

There once was a young Ptarmigan,
Who tried to fly under a van'
It gave him a thrill,
So he hollered "Road Kill!"
And was eaten for dinner by Stan.

Canine Cusine

From my last flight, I concluded one thing.

Their in-flight food, was fit for a King

        Of that, there's no doubt

        So I just hollered out,

Here King - Here King!

There was a young fellow named Tony,
Who wouldn't eat his macaroni.
He hollered out, "Hey,
Take this slop food away.
Just bring me a stick of baloney."

Trotted

The last time you could say I actually trotted Had diarrhea, jogged to the washroom, wasn't solid Yelled out in relief Avoided more grief Big smile broke out as I staggered and hollered

Kangar-Ouch

Mummy kangaroo had been hanging up a sign
She’d grabbed a load of nails but the first one went in fine
She tucked the rest away and little Joey hollered ‘OUCH!’
Don’t put your nails in your pouch… OUCH!
Don’t put your nails in your pouch!

I Had a Thought

I had a thought…

And then the phone rang
The dryer buzzed
The dog whined
And the kids hollered.

I know I had a thought…

But then I answered the phone
Folded the laundry
Put the dog out
And tended to the kids.

I just know I had a thought…

froggie was merry and gay

I am splashing in leaves! hollered happy Froggie that day.
He was merry and glad, jumping and twirling away all his gray.
I was glad to see him in such a fine mood; wonderful to hear his laugh.
He had not been this happy since his cousin moved out, a selfish giraffe.

Stuck his finger in the Cobbler;
Burnt his fingers so he then hollered;
Before he dropped the bowl on the floor mama grasped him by his collar;

Chimney Guck

Santa was not having very good luck
While in a chimney his mask became stuck
He hollered and tried to yell
But it was muffled and fell
Then had to chew his mask free full of guck

Snidely Whiplash

You villain, you fiend
We booed you each Saturday
When you came on the screen.

We shrieked, and we hollered
For Dudley Do-Right to make short work of you
We loved it when justice prevailed
And your just desserts were due.

Snidely Whiplash
You villain, you fiend.
Capturing Polly Purebred.
You were utterly mean!

I Will Keep Mama Here

Buddy, my giant pony dog, stood in back of my car.
Thinking he could keep me here, hoping I would stay home.
Where he wants me.
Honking did not move him.
He did not respond to yelling either.
Joe finally came out and hollered “Baloney!”
Buddy and Sophie, our other dog, ran into the house with Joe.
Neither looked back.

Expressions Diverse Meanings Same

She sobbed, screamed, screeched, squealed…
He howled, hollered, hissed, hooted…
The hearing seemed tug-of-war-filled.
The judge smiled and said: "Equaled!
So, your wish to reunite is confirmed!'
They frantically hugged, kissed. In celluloid.

Can It Not Be Said

It was the same way when I began my breathing.
I stuck out my tongue and hollered to the Lord,
I yelled, "Can it not be said that my eyes
were meant for you!?!"

He was silent. As always.
And I retreated back into the world.
Looking for health insurance.
And a job.

Wondering,
If I had yelled loud enough
Or far too loud.

Smiles On Delivery

.

                                   There's a new mailman
                          Who drives through our neighborhood
                                    This was his first day
                                  He hollered hello and waved
Today he brought more than the mail

The Marx 'Brothers'

Karl Marx was a historian and scholar
Groucho Marx whooped it up and hollered

Both of them were starved for attention
Neither of them honorable menschen *

The Hippo Went Down

Bam! Crash! Crack! The hippo went down.
A resounding loud noise in Ice Skating town.
Is the ice cracking? One of the owners cried.
Yes, another agreed, a snake has slithered inside.

I knew this was a lie for the snakes hibernate.
Keep going kids! I hollered. Go on and skate.
I helped the hippo get up and got him warm.
The rest of them left though, in a kind of swarm.

Suzuki Rm 250

(This is a fictional poem)

I asked a motorcycle dealer if I could have one of his Suzuki motorcycles for free.
I cried because he beat the hell out of me.
The next day I asked the dealer if I could have the Suzuki RM 250 for one dollar.
As he beat me violently, he hollered.
Two days later I offered him five bucks and he blew off my wiener with a 44.
I'm not much of a man anymore.

Yet Another Silly Rhyme

The horse pranced
The penguin danced
The Nightingales sang in tune
The dog barked
In the dark
The cow mooed at the moon

The pelican swallowed
The fish hollered
The owl said twit to woo
Two squirrels stood
In the wood
They did not know what to do

The Sun rose
From its repose
To start a brand new day
The animals crept
From whence they slept
As they all come out to play

The Four Presidents

A man and his son went to Mount Rushmore
His son hollered out why only the four?
No more stones left, dad's reply
But the boy spotted the lie
His son knew they represented much more

Impaired

Darkness lures above and under,
Light is no where to be seen,
Scared of what I can not hear,
Frightened of what I can not see,

Maybe if I tried harder,
Maybe if I prayed to God,
Maybe if I screamed and hollered,
Someone could show me what's wrong,

After all my fighting, my fusing and my crying too,
I know what's wrong with me,
I can't see and I can't hear,
But that's ok with me.
