What has life in store?
Milk on bed and milk when dead.
Why sulk all along?

P.S.This poem is based on the Hindu customs of burial. Attending a funeral recently taught me this very essence of Life....

What Faith
Jewish, Hindu, ,Catholic, C of E,
Muslim, Pagan, Sikh, which should I be.

If it's a matter of faith I don't really care,
It's whichever brings me comfort as I sit in my chair.

All of them aim to do nothing but good,
So I'll take a mixture and just live as I should....

Premium Member Namaste
"Namaste" is a conventional Hindu expression
upon meeting or parting a person or persons
used generally by the speaker usually while holding
the palms together vertically in front of the bosom.
This expression I would have never known
if not for the comments left by Nancy Jones....

Hindu
Indus was also a name
add one prefix of “H”
and remove the last “s”
and a Hindu is born
I do not stay near Indus
it is little away
from my rational mind’s
calculation of distance
it can be near
if i drop my mistaken identity
I may still be a Hindu
even if the river is far...

Premium Member Kali sheeps best Friend
Sheep’s best friend is Kali, Hindu goddess
She sprang forth to defend the innocent and defeat evil
Worshipped as the Divine Mother, to sheep she is merely Kali, friend.
He is amazed to discover she is well-known,
The divine protector and liberator.
She wears a tiger skin sari, and cuddles him; he loves her dearly....

Al Vida Jim Link
At the Edge of my Tears
I could weave monuments with words
(But why shall I say much NOW?)
The Hindu child within my soul
Adored weaving flower-circles of honor
(And I wove many for thee, Friend)
Jim, I know my ancestors will surrender all
Their bouquets, their marigolds, proteas - though we -
You and I, are forever in Jesus' lineage, NOW...

Dickinson Love - Or What the Dickens
I
If u loved, you may write sound poetry;
If u loved & lost, words add a higher degree
Of lonely beauty and crowded clarity
As was true of Dickinson, POET, Lady, my EMILY

II
Life and breath can yield great writing
Love and loss point to truth, reuniting
Where all are level, Scripture doth remind
Before this act, stage, LILA in Hindu mind...

Gold Diggers In Danger
I saw two gold diggers chasing  by dangerous dogs.
Hidden behind the hindu golden statues of gods.
Screaming for help, some people came to help them,
One dog caught one gold digger and bitten her bottom
Dogs' owner blamed by one driver who carried goods.

Nataraja--The Dance of Shiva
Shiva dances
Within the circle of fire
Expressing harmony
In his perfect figure
The snake on his arm
Is seen uncoiling
The flame in his hand
An endless cycle of birth and death
His cosmic dance
The harbinger of bliss
Destroys the old myths
Creates the new
Releasing men from illusion
He performs his dance
Of creation

Based on Hindu Mythology...
