Bad Tropic

When taken ill beyond the Gods
(For their hunger feels so endless)

I saw their hillsides-
Grazed to the ground

I found no witness.

Concerns of Mine

A big concern during excavations
from granite hillsides is just
keeping limited mishaps near
observed palladium quantities,
reacting swiftly to utility vehicles
wanting X-rays yields zeroed.

Ancient Architecture

Ancient architecture has recently been my joy Carved out of hillsides, primitive tools were employed Blows our mind At what we find Can't imagine how they did it, wows us humanoids

Flaxen Haired Lady Yellow Contest

Her world is as radiant as the sun,
golden as dandelions that cover
the fields and hillsides in springtime,
or the sunny faced jonquils and daffodils.

A Mountain Morning

Tangerine skies over the mountains, I sip a cup of Jo and peruse the trees and hillsides lighting up; the spotlight stage is set for another adventure.

Appealing Belles

Ring in the spring,
The bluebells bob
As gentle breezes blow.
We breathe a sigh
As we know now
There’s no more winter snow.

The vibrant hue
Against the green
Bathes hillsides regal blue.
Announcing to
The countryside
That summer will ensue.

Perfect Day

The lochan calm, unruffled, in repose,
the wind retreated to the mountain top,
sky blue reflected in a shimmering haze,
and hillsides freshly bathed in summer hue.
With birdsong round the open door,
where early rosebuds greet the sun,
it’s then, with winter past, we may
give thanks for such a perfect day.

Autumn Colors

Hillsides aflame with orange, yellow, and red Nature paints an exquisite landscape During autumn, I resoundingly dread Neighbors going to see colors, they said, Getting away for their autumn escape.

A New Day

As hints of dawn's hues touch the sky
night sheds its dark blanket and flies
while tender light softens the way
to waken the richness of day.

Sweet scents mix with dew on the grass
reviving the hillsides and paths
trees brighten as birds sing their tunes
sun's warm rays coax flowers to bloom.

Florida Oranges

Listen to poem:
Groves,
parallel patterned rows
(hardly higher than bushes),
dot and stretch up hillsides,
looking from a distance
much like cornrows
on the tight tan scalps
of hip young New York
subway riders.
Luscious fruits,
at closer range,
mimic setting suns
boldly drawn in crayon:
oranges evoke essence,
name their own color.

Avalanche

Avalanche

Avalanched blizzards' cold dustings
           envelope:
 forests, gulleys, hillsides--
intentionally juxtaposing life...
 making necrose obstacles
   painstakingly quiver,
      releasing Snow!
             Tons!
Ubiquitous vagabond-wielding
        Xenophobics'... Yielding Zone!

We Are the Flowers

Serene and vast,
are the fields of our earth,
colors of life,
rejoice giving birth.
Hillsides of foliage,
provides shelter for some,
as the planets still spin,
a mystery every one.
All sizes, and shapes,
God made us all,
colors of beauty,
short, and tall.
A Masterpiece He made,
for love, and peace,
we are the flowers,
you, and me.

The Bridge

Swirling, treacherous turmoil
Expands and contracts below.
Metal clanks and cars screech.
Bare hillsides stretch the landscape.

Red strands twist and turn,
Weaving and stretching,
Border to border,
Suspending life

Heels balance,
Hard on concrete
Toes hang,
Reckless in the wind

Yesterdays' Forgotten

some where- stygian transgressions are
carved into impervious hillsides-
fossilized relics, their
meanings yet undeciphered-
blistered fingered sculptors
gifted with
quixotic acumen, chant
mystical word songs -
translucent echos dance around
opaque distant moons-
images rise- phenoix eyed vigilant
reminders-
of a time gone, but not forgotten

Easter

Easter,
The Spring of the year.
A time for rejoicing,
For merriment and cheer.

When Nature at last ,
Will stretch forth her hand,
To awaken new life,
And replenish the land.

We welcome warm breezes,
And soft Spring time rains,
As things start to blossom,
On hillsides and plains.

We celebrate Spring,
And the warmth of the sun,
The sun, The Son,
New Life has begun.

Summer Wine

I meander verdant valley
where meadows collide in windswept jade

Gentle hillsides bathe in succour sunrise
and oceans of clouds saunter
provoking moor land peaks

Seems so perfect here
timeless as the morning blends
to the dawn chorus
of nature’s own harmony
this in days of summer wine

Beyond the bustle
of everyday torment
a life that is shared.

Psst

Whisper soft strokings
Stirring up life tides
Almost like bagpipes
On descantic hillsides
Echoes of losses of
Tempers and friends
Memories lingering
Kneeling to mend that
Tattertorn sweater a
Soul of loose ends
Rising to challenge
Habitual pride
Such is the music
In rhythm and rhyme
Flowing
Forever in time
Pulsation sensations
Enlivened emotions
Awakened and
Ready to rise
