A Bad Knee
As a girl I fell out of a tree
Not really a safe thing you’ll agree
Raced around as I biked
And fell down as I hiked
It’s no wonder I have a bad knee....

Andie Hiked Up To the Andes So High
Andie hiked up to the Andes so high,
Found Homer in a cave, oh, my, oh, my!
Homer said with a grin,
"Let the cooking begin,
Mushroom soup with chili, let's give it a try!"...

Dream Perfection
Everything now made
was once shattered,
and only broken objects
can be gathered.
To reach perfection
efforts may look faded,
but hiked determination
gets the dream upgraded...

Trump Created a Curse
Trump Created A Curse
Trump on himself had created a curse;
What he wanted worked out in reverse,
And he had hiked,
After being disliked;
Women cashed in and jingled their purse.

Public Transportation
buses cabs subways
how I get around
no subways are here
so buses will do
for six days a week
cities subways
when I am there
cabs cost too much
subways are quick
hitch hiked some
younger days
now buses
bus fare
one way
stop...

Mount Argopuro
Tailoring path of grass
Jungle and meadow
What the boots hiked for
So many answers
From faith to maid
From stubborn to airborne
From nail to snail
I had gone
I had born
Tailor is not tailoring
Jungle is gone
The boots had won...

My Bf Shelley Moved Away Child's View
My best friend Moved Away
Shelley Sjolseth moved away
My best friend with eyes blue gray
Had a crazy basement house
Sneaked as quiet as a mouse
Shelley played the games I like
Hiked and had a shiny bike
Shelley, Shelley, miss you so
Where in this big world did you go?...

To Walk and Whistle With Granddad
at summer's end, our carefree
whistling, as we hiked to the bus
station, was enough..
for indeed, to whistle with my
granddad was to shorten the
long hike by half..
and to walk with him through
gravel and rock was to hear
the dirt road laugh !...

Jack Got Busted
Jack was walking down the hall
Six foot two and in a hurry
Linda, five foot tall
Two steps behind
Never in a flurry
Jack didn’t see her when he looked
Hiked one hip, the sound, light and airy
He knew his goose was cooked
When, tap tap shoulder raps...AND
“Really, Jack is all that quite necessary.”

Hiking In the Universe
HIKING IN THE UNIVERSE
We hiked to Geo-City, deep in the forest....
And found treasures of sparkling geodes,
Appearing like magic! ....then, climbing, brought
Them to their rightful place in the universe,
At the foot of the mammoth Eagles Nest...
Where the Eagle sleeps,
where I dream.........

Yur In Trouble
Mary hiked up to Pipi Springs
With hope of seeing pretty things
A little tinkle
Became a sprinkle
When all she saw were ding-a-lings
2nd Verse
Contributed by Jan Allison:
To Mary their antics were shockin'
blokes certain all had their cok in
some folk they were nude
their bonking was lewd
if unlucky a baby their clockin....

Siarska Part Two
While she was running and munching on an innocent camper
She twirled her wildness into anger
Clothes ripped and bloody
A yell so shattering the trees do tremble and the clouds do shake
Blood on a trail hiked for curiosity
Deep in a forgotten cave she lurks
Animals of the forrest stay far away
Siarska eats the witch and her curse
A full moon red and sour...

So Tired
If I climbed the Himalayas,
Ran a marathon or more,
I’d be so exhausted I could not
Stand upright on the floor.
If I hiked into the desert
Or worked shifts around the clock,
I’d be thoroughly depleted,
All my synapses in shock.
All I did was spend the weekend
With my grandkids, six and eight,
Which I loved, but I’m so tired,
I’m no longer seeing straight....

Cello
Skirt hiked up
legs ungracefully spread,
sexually inviting.
The cello drums her,
blind angels
gyrate in a deep darkness.
The cellos voice is her own,
her body sings through
one hollowing mouth.
I am mesmerized by her closed eyes,
her moon drenched emotions.
The bow is low
it nudges me somewhere,
there is no name for that place,
it is somewhere inside a sadness,
a cavern of fading echoes
where joy waits
to be noticed.

Crystal
Dreamed of being a superman to rescue the world
"Who are you?" the voice he heard
Looking at the airglow, wondering of a star
Reaching to the space, he hiked so far
No one called out his name
He wished tomorrow will not be the same
Became a leader, he isn't lame
Rich he is with love and fame
The crystal he is, created a rainbow
Taught to love yourself to fade the sorrow
Blushy cheeks with rosie hollow
A role model of my life, I follow...

Bio
The Grass On the Other Side
To cross the river, he hiked a ride,
grass was greener on the other side,
He did this at the very peak of day,
The cut yield would make better hay!
The cattle quietly watched his routine,
Eagerly awaited what he brought in,
Eating was their natural birth right,
oblivious to his aim-more beef weight!
His care and love was not selfless,
But had a more monetary purpose!
Many a good deed that we all see
Has a catch and never intention free!!...

Dunes
Our feet sank in the sand as we
Went walking through the dunes.
I haven't hiked on land like that
In many many moons.
Then suddenly we turned a bend
And there within our reach
Was something most surprising -
An amazing empty beach!
The waves were gentle and the water
Froze the few brave waders.
Remoteness kept it free of
Hordes of tourist-type invaders.
While heading back (reluctantly)
I found my souvenir -
Some tiny brightly-circled shells,
To keep the magic near....
