A deep dark mysterious roar 
hauntingly beautiful 
echoes 
as Rainfall prances on the ground.

Awakened by the howling 
of the rolling rumble
tiny birds chirp in harmony 
with the thunders groan.
The garden sings with delight 
as it bathe in the summer rain.

Filled with excitement 
all is at peace 
in the melody

Visions of the past hauntingly serene,
Until I close my eyes and hear you speak.
There is no easing this pain,

It’s heavy down here...
Weariness is worn like dark cloaks
Strange faces fade in and out 
Of a hauntingly familiar dream
Lost in a moment of out-of-focus thoughts
Back again with exhausting effort to keep going
A smile feels like trickery;

Under the canopy of the dark forest
mist swirls winding around the trees
impairing vision as it clutches all in sight
it moves hauntingly as it winds and clings
creating eerie shadows as it creeps
reflecting lights shade it bends and twists
a musty mildew aroma wafts
footprints no longer mark the path
directions become unknown
lost in a sea of white vapor
we await for it to dissipate
solitude in the mist.
