They watch, they wait
to see my fate.
never adding nor subtracting
hauntingly and numb.
They wait in the wings

A Word
Quiesance

Quiesant passion
love me lazily
Earth love.

Quiesant fear
love me hauntingly
Cerebral love.

Hypnotic
Hiding green eyes with lace

Her presence fills the room

Hauntingly alluring,

Hypnotizing the night

Hearts blinded by deceit

Held captive in charades.

One Way To Go
Like a Sirens song you hauntingly beckon
Quivering soft curves await the plunge
Insanity is deaf to logical boundaries
Drowning in your sweet nectar

Premium Member I Dream In Poems
We all live of free will.
Fundamental, a decision I've
Made to live for poetry.
I dream in poems, hauntingly.
I deem poetic form.

Sonnet prose haiku.
Illuminating all
Just as the moon stares
With starry eyes playing
With my sight....

He stumbled,
and climbing painfully
heard echoes reverberate
hauntingly, as if to mock his
     existence.
A lifetime's singular occupation, yet
not lonely- -all those at sail
    his children, but
"The Keeper of the Flame"
now obsolete, replaceable, insignificant

weary, exhausted, the flicker became
   eternity...

Angels: Aliens
Ancient ones beacon from a lonely mesa
neither flesh nor spirit, yet hauntingly beautiful
Ghostly sky messengers; oracle of the Hopi
Eyeless Kachinas, carved in their image
Lore faithfully passed to each generation
Star people visited us from the heavens...

Adrift Endings
Hauntingly explicit, plighted
  in yesterday's cloaked mystery,
wafting as whispers through
 wistfully grayed memories on dimly
          recalled moonlit indulgences,
winding imprecise hazy endings
    beyond darkly covert horizons

love isn't blind, it's persistently unsighted
                by distantly echoed adrift endings...

The graveside seems hauntingly silent Only two ravens sit on a stone cross the stillness of night leaves them compliant not even pecking at the monument's moss The stones are set to remember someone who was probably, at one time, a loved one September 27, 2019 Image # 2 Make IT Six Poetry Contest Sponsored by: Joseph May

Summer Storm
A deep dark mysterious roar
hauntingly beautiful
echoes
as Rainfall prances on the ground.

Awakened by the howling
of the rolling rumble
tiny birds chirp in harmony
with the thunders groan.
The garden sings with delight
as it bathe in the summer rain.

Filled with excitement
all is at peace
in the melody
of an early morning storm.

Distant Thoughts
Try to focus but I cannot see to read,
Visions of the past hauntingly serene,
Until I close my eyes and hear you speak.
There is no easing this pain,
Of the feel of your blood on my hands,
As your life flows through open fingers.
In pure white I shall stay,
The virgin bride n’er to wed;
I cry my tears alone where no one sees,
My agony is memories of thee.

You Affect Me
Like sad music
Can move me to tears
A cello’s deep
Hauntingly beautiful sound
Plays my soul with its resonance

Like a majestic sunrise over the ocean
Infinitive water and sky and fire
That brings enigmatic joy to my heart
The hope in endless new beginnings
The absolute awe of nature

You affect me
You connect to that deep place in my soul
In a way that no one else ever has....

Heavy
It’s heavy down here...
Weariness is worn like dark cloaks
Strange faces fade in and out
Of a hauntingly familiar dream
Lost in a moment of out-of-focus thoughts
Back again with exhausting effort to keep going
A smile feels like trickery;
Betrayal of that what is under the skin,
Behind the skull
Shaking sweaty arms holding an unbearable load
Sometimes it crashes against my head…
It’s so heavy here....

Premium Member Vapor Sea
Under the canopy of the dark forest
mist swirls winding around the trees
impairing vision as it clutches all in sight
it moves hauntingly as it winds and clings
creating eerie shadows as it creeps
reflecting lights shade it bends and twists
a musty mildew aroma wafts
footprints no longer mark the path
directions become unknown
lost in a sea of white vapor
we await for it to dissipate
solitude in the mist.

Someone To Love
Hauntingly beautiful words
Come out of your mouth
Everyone see what I see
Everyone hear what I hear
And everyone is in love
Like Venus first born
You radiate beauty at its best light
I wish loneliness would've taught you how to love
To appreciate the hand that took you home that night
To cater for that heart that used to beat for your smiles
People like you don't learn such lessons
Beauty makes us happy and love fulfill us...
