The Haven
All consuming
a frame of mind
a place of peace:
simple love
assured
tender
guileless
welcomed with open

Childlike Wisdom - Waltz Wave
Out
of the
mouths
of babes
come words of
logic
and
guileless
innocence.
Simplicity
of thought that
takes us
by
surprise
causing us
to long
for
childlike
faith.

Hidden Stream
Waltzing ‘mongst the redwoods she now meanders
Shyly smiling, candid in guileless virtue
Feeling carefree, gleeful, of threats unwary...
Progress encroaches.

Emma
Ethereally, breathtakingly beautiful
Miniscule your faults no compare
Maddeningly, temperamentally playful
Athletically challenging flair
Essentially charismatic though guileless
Monumental in your achieved goal
Motherly manifestations you bless
A spiritually progressive soul....

Warm Fuzzies At Dawn
walk to fame
singing my notes
as a virtuosic
applauded habitually
pitching new octaves
alto and tenor
our dulcet tunes
loudly echo
of seamless hearts
tickled to laughter
our guileless smile
wakes bliss
our empyrean dreams
hitherto slumbering still
to stay living
gains life...

Guileless Love
On one of Christmas eves, I remember,
A rustic girl who in age so tender;
Brought the infant Jesus home from the crib,
Amidst swearing from many an old lip;
Wrapped him well as she found him shivering,
Placed him back; her guileless love conquering...

Wanderlust
Oh, the winsome winds of change are blowing,
Filling the sails of hope with a billowing, fair and free,
And carrying intoxicating scents - spiritual sprites divine -
On a zephyr of guileless imagination from the east ...
I am set to the task capricious, with a heart of hunger,
Thus, hard over the helm, adventurous and fast the sky!...

With'Ring Wish
When I was young my heart bloomed like a flower
Love's guileless petals spread to climb life's bower
Oh, if withered vines could still but climb, I'd then
Bring forth one more blossom to remember ... when.

Contemplating paradise
glorifying days gone by
meanwhile wasting time
i’ve got nothing more than an alibi
to make sense of this paradigm
i’m betting on a future paradise
where starry moonlit nights entice
and sunshine saves the day
while guileless children play

Play the Game
Some things are more important than others,
I suffer even as others suffer.
It takes time to realize,
Wisdom was not reserved for the wise.
Mistakes are the useful guides,
Guileless at last, I let go of my pride.
They are a part of me as I am a part of it all…
I play my part, I stand tall.
There is nothing to lose, glory or fame,
Play the game, Skipper, Nothing stays the same....

Above the Rest
Guileless, autumn lay upon a land
past the tiresome days of summer,
above the tender roots of jaded lawn
blanketing the bulbs for nubile spring
left in kindness ~
calling winter's winds
to rest…
Wasted are the teeth of winter
on the bloodless throat of fall,
no dinner will the withered rent-shirt
of well spent life make
only a soft and cozy remnant
left in kindness ~
where winter’s hoary form
can rest…

Pretty Daisies
Daisies dotting the meadow sea
One as pretty as the next
Modest not pretentious
Proud but never arrogant
As guileless and demure
As the younger sibling
Of the pretty sister
Who has nothing to prove
No vanity No pomp
Never looked in a mirror to ask
Who is the fairest of them all
Your radiance makes me smile
You spread your joy like
Marmalade on warm toast
Always bright and sweet

The Poet
THE POET
I want to go for dreams today
And look to what I truly love
For each one the part of me
Is soaring like the holy dove.
I want to be a guileless poet
By weaving words in dusky room
For my neighbors Tim and Ben
And Paula's daughter in her womb.
I want to grow up darling mom
To serve my cousins live or dead
In the placid hour of mind
I write this poem on my pad.

Free'D the Thought
No one should say "I Love"
until aware the resource
called for to overcome
without recourse.
For we are always in the wrong
in how we clumsily handle
being overly cautious, postponing delight
to prolong frustration through the night.
The bond of love is not an ought,
nor something taught,
and ever-so-much more
than fancied thought.
Our human nature must
come soon guileless
to that place of trust
and leaving us free to choose,
free'd the thought,
"Should I lose. . .?"...

Child Footles
Sleepy,
Weepy,
Sweetie,
Cutie,
Babe drools.
It crawls,
On floor,
On four.
Burbles,
Gabbles,
Wets bed,
Cute bud!
Guileless,
Artless,
Chuckles,
Giggles,
Grows up.
Sits up.
Child walks.
Child runs.
Climbs up.
Falls down.
Naughty,
Haughty,
Spoiled brat!
Moppet!
Mom’s joy!
Dad’s toy!
God’s gift
World’s light!
