Premium Member A Modern Valentine: Define The Relationship, Please
For a DTR from you I’m waiting,
and no more is it up for debating.
Quit bread-crumbing me,
or ghosted you’ll be
after ten years of off-and-on dating....

Ghosted
It was a close-knit town hostile to strangers
that lost its citizens for imagined dangers.
Move-ins were rejected
and to threats subjected.
Shortly the population was two park rangers....

Premium Member The Sun
I thought I knew the sun.
I thought I had it tamed.

When it looked dim and weak,
I’d just blow on the flames.

But now my faith is shaken -
perhaps I was mistaken.

It seems the sun has ghosted me.
I miss those rays that roasted me....

Premium Member End Game Conclusion
When you’re dying of terminal sadness,
It’s easy to fall for false cures,
Distracted by tempting amusements
Whose needs seem more pressing than yours.
When you’re two moves adjacent to checkmate
In the game of asserting control,
You’ll get ghosted and gas-lit,
By a gold-digger’s gambit
Hell bent for a piece of your soul.

Live Life To the Fullest
I pissed off my spiritual advisor
Just how precious are the lessons
Ghosted by the spirits
Echos—it’s not me it’s you
Everything green and golden
Is this the eye of a hurricane
Darkness whispers—
Extinguish all hope
I think I am in love
Ever startle awake to knocking
No matter what they say
If you happen not to wake
Never ever answer that knock...

Freedom’s Sky Phantom pain beneath the sting of time, un-dulled, searing flash across the face of humankind, horizon’s emptiness. Shadows cast by ghosted steel linger in the blue skied minds, shrouded in the creeping dust. Tears that will not fade, hearts that cannot fill a hole in freedom’s sky. John G. Lawless 9/11/2013

The Truth Lies In the Lyrics
Time and time again
No matter how hard I try
The truth in the lyrics
Gets me everytime
I ghosted you
To protect my heart
Your words cut deep
The last we talked

When one moves on
And the other stays still
You keep your game face on
Brave the facade...until
There's no hiding the facts
Both know the reasons why
That if you didn't still love him
By now, you'd be fine

January 15, 2022...

Please, stand on the damn line!
Loudly voices do not reach but roughly you never listened to any speech.
So, if we would ever meet again, the street will me neat, so won't i.
Even the tiptoes won't Hit the ground, nils'hoes will get rid of it won't they?
How mold May develope over time, you have crossed the line.
So here we are my heart roasted, you always posted, it later frosted and when my eyes meet yours, they will stay ghosted....

Premium Member Midnight Mosque
In translucent silence
sapphire-capped minarets
stand like ardent rose buds
under glint of a firefly moon.

Gone are birds of day
like ruby breasted dawn
spilling ashes of roses
on a saffron horizon,
rhododendrons and azaleas floating
up high to burnish
the mosque's ghosted towers.

Through night's brisk lapis
the hushed teal dome bides
wafting apple breezes
as walls and turrets lumber,
shielding the tiled plaza
until morning steeps the landscape
in the aura of peacocks....
