Ghosted

It was a close-knit town hostile to strangers that lost its citizens for imagined dangers. Move-ins were rejected and to threats subjected. Shortly the population was two park rangers.

Hello Paul, I really enjoyed your Limerick here. "Ghosted" has significant import (from the "stranger" perspective) particularly for me when I think about the ignorant demagoguery resident in the USA today with Donald Trump's wholesale branding of other people who are "different" or are from "other cultures" -- as well the quite similar things occurring in the UK since the "Brexit" with the quite obvious push against societal diversity and open-mindedness. A "SEVEN"!! Cheers and Best, Gary

Thank you, Gary. Your comment is both insightful and timely because it correlates with demagoguery in the U.S. presidential election and the anti-social diversity agenda of "Brexit." You have linked my poem to some stellar current events analysis. Bravo!
