Dawn
A sunbather out on the lawn
Garnered staring but never a yawn
For one glance at her back
Showed a thong sitting smack
On the very exposed crack of Dawn....

Fearless Fighter
Fearless fighter
Combat those struggles
With your left hand
While you grasp those opinions
In your right hand
And hold your head up high
Above the most elevated clouds
Peering down upon the world
In which you garnered your strength...

Some people call it Japanese Moonshine.
It is our ever-popular national rice wine.

Drink it alone, or have it with dinner.
You will soon find this wine a winner.
It has garnered generations of popularity.
This rice wine is known to all as Sake....

Run Aground
There is a dash of salt in me
Garnered from my years at sea
Neptune, I honored and did plea
For the eternal calming lee
Then a hurricane winked at me
Such a storm was that lady
I tried my best to sail and flee
But she was such a pretty she
Now we live beside a tree
My new anchor and salty me...

Premium Member Reflex Instinct
It is the actual execution in action
Of learning garnered in meditation
That determines consciousness shift
At the level of our reflex instinct
Which in turn frees us in both waking
As well as the state of dreaming
Positioning us in Turiya in continuity
Whereupon we are our own infinity

Premium Member Ego Death
Upon ego death, the false falls away
and we see clearly that we’re living light
but on returning we once again sway,
albeit having garnered inner sight,
we grant our true essence, the right of way,
remain tranquil by both day and by night.
We live in the moment, feeling complete,
vibrant, aglow and always bliss replete.

Mid-East Turmoil
MID-EAST TURMOIL
Infused with uncertainty
Now spreading thoughts of own
Makes for the ignorance
Which is today well known
Leaving posterity
The senseless seeds thus sewn
Unleashed ugly anger
Shows all that you have learned
Your fossilized doctrines
No place in hearts have earned
Repulsion now garnered
No stone’ll be left unturned

Premium Member A Look Back
A Look Back

Fleeting the moments of laughter and joy,
   Love promises so much more:
There is no finality in the life garnered
Once we see the dread of its end.

So short were the days in the sun:
Where shining dawns offered deep hope
All we once were has now been done
We live and loved in a dream.

Premium Member Music of the Plains
Left tall and dry, lies the pillared maize forsaken.
Barren fields of corn, stand row by row.
When yellow ears have long been gathered,
a dusty crop has paid it's garnered due.
The dry stalks bend and dangle stiff remains,
and autumn winds return to whip batons and play.
The quiet fields tune harps and violins,
making harmony from husks, with swaying stalk refrains....

Premium Member Willow
The ancient brave weeping willows
that line the gentle river banks
cry not, one single drop hovers.
It is wisdom that drips from it.

This wisdom garnered through ages
of watching antics and follies
of mankind repeating same mistakes.
So they drip their wisdom in hope.

Hope is inspired by these trees
as majestically they stand.
Lines marching along river bank
they are sentinels of wisdom....

She has the wisest lap in the whole blue sea, sending love round about.
Drifters, sailors, and those who fall overboard readily seek her out
We never knew her name, but her corpulent figure is mighty and fine.
She has garnered an excellent reputation for helping all over time.
I have heard that she is the best listener in any ocean on this earth.
Her empathetic eyes and understanding ways surpassing her girth....

Premium Member Selective Recall
Selective Recall Written: by Miracle Man New Years Day 2022 In a dim lit corner of every mind, lay matters which long have been whispered past. These thoughts congregate, ever to unwind, they’re distant moments that forever last. Some exist as Dust Bunnies, unspoken, and will never enjoy the light of day. Any thought garnered would be just token, not ebon or white but bordering gray.

Mona Lisa
Leonardo DaVinci Did you know your artwork would be famous today? In Paris at the Louvre is where it's on display. "La Gioconda" is the painting's other name. After six hundred years, it has garnered much fame. What a sweet portrait of a noble lady. Not many know her name was Lisa Gherardini. People from all over the world come to see her. May she be around for many connoisseurs in the future.

Premium Member Artist At Work
Pensive artist looking at blank canvas,
pristine white, beseeching a miracle,
feels deep within, image magnum opus,
whilst left brain offers but an opuscule,
shifts into trance, fearing not ridicule.
Pristine presence, in playful innocence,
in resonance with hearts blissful cadence,
leaps into the current, here resident,
essence garnered by inner sentience,
bringing to life, souls impulse radiant.

Premium Member Love's Illusion
Love is but an illusion, a fantasy that often seems surreal. A sensual ploy to steal a kiss, and exploit intimate feelings. Lovers in a sexual rut shed no tears, for the other's pain. Passion's flame burns hotter than fire, and then, reality kicks in. And those feelings end when trust falls apart, chasing shadows cast by neon lights. For what is love but a promise of bliss, garnered from a whispered lie?

Farewell To the Pineapple Princess
As an original Mousketeer, you garnered some fame. A generation of youngsters knew you by name. From a little girl, you grew on television and the movies. Success seemed to come in blowing like the breeze. In a bikini with a surfboard on the beach, you were such an attractive brunette peach. Even though time caught up to you, and you passed away, we can still see you in reruns up to this day. Annette Funicello (1942-2013)

Premium Member Bat Tries To Help Me Get Rid of a Pesky Toad
A bumpy toad jumped on my nose and refused to get off.
I tried to gross him out, much phlegm I garnered in a cough.
He was determined and held on tightly with his webbed toes.
I was irritated because after all, it is my own private nose.

Come help me! I yelled to a bat in the belfry below.
He came up and bit the toad on his middle little toe.
The toad bit him back, actually sliced off his head with his teeth.
I was really grossed out when I saw what was underneath....

Blowing My Mind
My high school boyfriend had a band,
The Jagged Edge by name.
In local circles, I suppose,
They garnered some acclaim.

I hadn’t thought of them in years
So was surprised to find
An email from my brother, saying
“This will blow your mind!”

A YouTube link and there they were –
Their photo and his voice.
I have to say my mind was blown –
It didn’t have a choice.

We can’t relive those days gone by
But man, it is a blast
To tap into technology
And peek into the past....
