Like a spider skirting around its' web
The Sun hustled about the clouds
On golden legs
That spotted a re-folding sea.

beauties
unruffled
on a steamy day
float in boats rowed by their beaus
white silken hands folding their fans at sunset

Fearful Nights

Falling of dark
Folding a fear in me
Brings rain if it’s
Increasing by another fold
My fear
Not now
But when I was small

Premium Member Demons and Drugs

These demons
These drugs
Working hard
Folding rugs
May the best of me
Still be to come
God help me
I’m still on your side

silent walls collapse
folding in sucked into the void
with no sound or light,
to show what once beamed bright there
leaving a black abstinence

Nothing is happening..

The seeming story

Unfolding and folding

Is secretly Nothing

And in another story

The secret is revealed

To no one...

Bite Size Ii: My Happy Place

Twisting folding melting
Into cradled arms molded just for me
Safe and secure
No place I would rather be
Relaxing letting my mind run free
In my happy place

Creases

Folding words into
a feeling
The permanence was
addictive
The creases
redefining
And the transcendence
sublime

(Nashville Tennessee: 'The Bluebird' October 1991)?

Lingers

You're taste still lingers
upon my lips
remembering the feeling
running
through me
a touch so
longing hands folding
fingers clinging
that kiss
a lasting lingering taste.

It Is Silent Like a Prayer

It is silent like a prayer.
All the words are lost
and so are all the roads,
which lead to nowhere.
My arm is folding yours
as if an impossibility.
And softly the night is coming.

Premium Member Wings of the Evening

The day is folding
Like moths when they close their wings
          Skies have turned crimson
               With butterfly reflections
                    Till fireflies gather night

I Didn'T Write Today So I'Ma Do It Right Now

Right after I do the laundry
Just before the dishes
Next to the last of folding
Before I sweep and mop
It never crossed my mind as I went into town
I didn't write today so I'ma do it right now

Rush Hour

I clock in my own breath,
Minutes stack like folding chairs.
My limbs queue for permission,
Time herds me through its turnstiles.
We all wear the same silence—
Pressed suits, creased with wanting.

Premium Member Dancing Lilies

,
Dancing white ladies twirl and sway on pointed satin stems

Arched backwards in time, with adagio’s breath in soft fluttering

Clustered flowers dance in evening breeze, folding wings at sundown

Pressed Flowers

Folding in the flowers
in the basket in my mind
layering the poppies
with the marigolds and vines

eyes like sweet forget me nots
gazing at the moon,
gleaning through our garden
on a memory in June.

An old year

An old year
Has just gone
Leaving me behind busted and done
Looking forward for a new one
New days, new nights
New battles new fights
Another war to wage
A Folding page
Written with happiness agony and rage

Premium Member Autumns Breath

I hike through my grandparents woods
strolling on leaf strewn paths
shaded by the overhang of oak branches
as they lose their color
leaves folding like petals
then fall like the rest
with just a hint of autumns breath

Sunrise

A new dawn arising from
The darkness descending
The sunrise above while
The rays of light glisten
The moon fades beyond
The mountain peak,
Folding his arms while
Embracing a new dawn
Rising,
Welcoming sweet morning

Premium Member Nightfall

Her hush rolls like folding scrolls
Gentle breeze, whiffs of anise
Fire, cream puff desire
Soft sorbet, goosebump display
Draw back of kite, lull of light
Descending easel bending
Blackboard slate, forgiveness' weight
