Clouds

Cottony vapour fluffs,
Caravan shape-shifting,
Can be stratus, nimbus,
cumulus or cirrus,
Cover the blue with white,
Cranky storms turn them black;
Chariot of the Lord.

Kingdom Covered In Snow Abc Contest
After blizzards crystals develop,
Extraordinary fluffs glisten.
Heavenly images,
Jubilant kingdoms,
Lavishing masterpieces.
Naked openness,
Purest quality,
Richest snow.
Trails untouched,
Valorous white,
‘Xploring youthful zeal.

Those innocent days!
Fistful of eons ago,
The good times did roll.
Fun at neighborhood playground...
Blowing dandelion fluffs.

Dance of a spring storm brought some rain along
Sparkling mountain tops with glitters of charms
Decorating foothill trees with fluffs of knick-knacks
Caressing blooming plants with respect from heart
Adding further to rivers, reservoirs, creeks and ponds
Carrying exuberance to rejoice, appreciate and dance...

Change of Seasons
Fall breezes carry summer
scents fading
on wind tides grown
restless and
chill

 Dandelion fluffs catch
on currents uneasy
spiraling among
the trees to tangle
in crackling leaves
   wandering
       drifting ~
    to gather in the corner
of my doorstep . . .
    only
to unsettle in a puff
as
the door slams shut....

Peering over the meadows
Clouds fluffed in appreciation
Enjoying verdant leaves of sacred tree

Peacefulness filling out all corners
Of blue sky
White fluffs gentled into the day

Anticipating God’s brilliance
In creating the landscape
The elements applauded

Never having seen a prettier
day in the land of the
meadow creatures...

Love All
I love vegetables
unless they're people then that's sad
I love flowers
with their silent powers
over us
I love clouds
here then gone
imaginations of
animals in the fluffs and puffs
first a dinosaur then blink
now a dog then blink
and gone
I love people
as many shapes and sizes
and colors
just as clouds
and who doesn't love clouds...

Little Goose
Little goose wn't lay agolden egg
unless she feels inclined
she fluffs her feathers in your face and you can't change her mind
you can't translate the quacks and squeaksyou have to wait until she speaks
and listen sometimes it takes weeksuntil an egg you'll find.
the little poet preans and plays
maybe for a week of days
you know how genius has it's ways
the mazes of her mind....

Never Forgotten
Cottonwood snowcaps blowing in the breeze
fluffs of white flutter, filling a distant history
closed eyes filter out tiny drops of salted sea

Time, lost along with another passing season
misted moments mixed with lavender essence
dropped down in a canyon of heartfelt misery

A fervent haze rises across the baked horizon
burning deep visions of succulent lips waiting
on honey dipped words to melt frozen moments

-never forgotten...

Westerly Far Birds
Let us take you up then
Where litanies of darkness mount the sun
Rest us on the magic night, bleakest evil oars
Arid pair of sleepy rebels float, limbs and root
Pretending what we are, reversed dreams of fields
Open as the window that is life, or so it seems
Hear the whish of mindful trees and zombie bark
Let us take you down, in dionysian diction
Where reality fluffs it’s cranberry tendrils
Where “real” is just a latin undulation of noise...

Premium Member My Special Tree
How strange this year has been. You see,
in my front yard’s a special tree.

By April seventh or about
the 10th, at least, its blooms poke out!

My prettiest of trees by far -
like fluffs of cotton its blooms are.

This April has gone very fast.
No blooms appeared as days flew past!

But on this 28th, with glee,
I saw the blossoms on my tree!

Written April 28, 2023 when I saw the blossoms.

He Is There
In my times of distress
He bends down to listen.

When I am alone, like an owl in the desert,
He hears my plea and comes to me.

When my heart is sick, withered like grass,
When my groaning is more then I can bear:

     He is there!
     He is there!

I lie awake like a solitary bird on a roof
It is then when I cry out that He comes to me.

Tucks me in
fluffs my pillow
and caresses my head

It is then when I sleep soundly,
secure in my bed....

The Dying Time of the Year
The dying time of the year
For life is the growing time
For that which does not yet live:
The blizzards of fluffs.

Not only the unborn lives
spread, but ice storms are conceived
In the swirling leaves and frost
That purple the grass

When the air stills, soft mists show
Autumn's other face: red orange
Guiltily vivid 'gainst the
Muted cloud billows

Or the air freezes, taking
Winter's first gift - the cruelly
Blue skies. Light then shames the fog
Bringing Death to Life....
