Change of Seasons
Fall breezes carry summer
scents fading
on wind tides grown
restless and
chill
Dandelion fluffs catch
on currents uneasy
spiraling among
the trees to tangle
in crackling leaves
wandering
drifting ~
to gather in the corner
of my doorstep . . .
only
to unsettle in a puff
as
the door slams shut.
