...for jhl
shimmering thermals
rise like the unleashed phoenix
summer storm has fled
There are things in this sphere
that are painfully clear.
My memory has fled
bottom's like lead.
Alas, old age is here.
the wildlife fled far
surrounded by silence daily
empty world outside

he quickly fled
with wings spread far...
hit head on branch
crimson fluid
shed... cupid ran
stupid he felt

Conquering alien
amidst human flu outbreak
fled earth contagious
Conquering alien
ooze influenza sickness
left earth alone
All my life I fled
No foe nor friend
And nothing want
From earth
That can supplant
My worth
My cross alone
I carry like a throne.
I have passed
through several deserted hearts
whose inhabitants had already fled,
I got what it was for
just before I fled
smile
wavered
a moment
until the lie
fled

Time has fled posthaste,
Yet clandestine deeds remain
Forever silhouetted;
The muse is buried in the mire
Its flaming pages now expire
Its passion’s fled
Is the muse dead
Or trying to light another fire
golden earrings
too extravagant she said
turning back on love
announced intentions
pouring his heart out to her
she turn and fled
Winterberries hang overhead
With which arbor hold delightful red.
Wind upward warmth thread;
Winged fairies wed, fluttered, and fled.
John was losing his mind for Mary
Near her house he often did tarry.
But she knew him not
Gave him no thought.
Now he has fled to a monastery.
Under cover lay they
And in the blink of a jiffy
Fled death from lethal nozzles
And within that jiffy
Like stones
Lay all that lived lifeless.
Life start poor
hating scum living
fled the drain
earns to eat
He wore glitzy gowns on stage
his zany facade
MORNING
Cows stroll to milkshed
Breath in clouds ahead
Waiting under the awning
Evening stars are all fled
Kids still in bed
Even dawn is yawning
says me
“I see!”
you know
we go
way back
my sack
you fled
my bed
not sad
my bad!

Cinderella had a shoe made of glass
Gave an opportunity too good to pass
The prince she wed
Mean sisters fled
Went from poverty straight to upper class
with additional
Get out of Jail free cards
no wonder Harry fled
more like his mother
tried to right the wrongs
on backs of which
royality was spawned.
A ghost we saw on Halloween
Fondled a girl and fled the scene
She said she was flattered
But what really mattered
Was not knowing where it had been . . . .
Like a bat out of hell or a cave
Left and Right always rant or else rave
Calm and reason have fled
Abandoned for dead
~ Hysteria's what audiences crave
After last night's dream my sanity's fled
Dreamt of a daisy with a girl for a head
With magic words
She talked to birds
I'm giving up pickles just before bed
Rain came
Hearts scared
People fled
A car sped
Water splashed
Round the corner
An umbrella sprang up
A mother hugged
A child giggled
The rain rattled
Spaghetti sauce red,
Buttered up bread,
Kids are fed.
Bed sheets spread,
Books done read,
Nothing more said.
Thoughts have fled,
My tired head,
Down to bed.
Donkey went to a small stream one day,
but a tiger stood right in his way.
Tiger roared and then fled.
Donkey filled him with dread
when he let out a bellowing bray!
